Religious Studies Teacher — KS3 to KS5

Maidenhead and surrounding Berkshire (Slough, Windsor, Bracknell, Reading, High Wycombe)

  • Salary: £200 to £260 per day, paid weekly, PAYE, no umbrella company
  • Contract Type: Day-to-day supply and long-term, immediate start

About the Role

Religious Studies teaching across Key Stages 3 to 5 at a secondary school in Maidenhead. £200 to £260 per day, immediate start, with the potential to extend.

We are recruiting a qualified Religious Studies teacher for a school in Maidenhead, covering Key Stage 3 through to A-level. The role involves both teaching and planning, and there is scope for it to continue beyond the initial period. Humanities teachers with recent experience of teaching RS are also welcome to apply.

This school runs a longer day than most — 8:30am to 5:00pm, and 3:45pm on Fridays — and the rate reflects that.

What We're Looking For

QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification

Recent experience teaching Religious Studies, ideally including Key Stage 5

Confident behaviour management and strong subject knowledge

Able to plan and deliver across Key Stages 3 to 5

Enhanced DBS check with children's barred list (or willing to obtain one)

You must have the existing right to work in the UK. We are unable to offer visa sponsorship.

What You Get

£200 to £260 per day, dependent on experience, paid weekly, PAYE, no umbrella company

A dedicated consultant, not a call centre

Day-to-day and long-term work matched to your availability

Named supplier on the Government Commercial Agency's RM6376 framework

Full safer recruitment checks in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education (KCSIE)

Fast registration if you already hold a DBS Update Service subscription

Safeguarding

First Call Education is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children. All placements are subject to enhanced DBS checks on the Update Service and full pre-engagement compliance in line with Keeping Children Safe in Education.
