Hiring Unit :

Department of Mathematics and Statistics

Position Summary:

• •Work with the Principal Investigator (PI) to develop and conduct a research project in technical AI safety.
• •Contribute to the design, development, and implementation of research activities related to technical AI safety.
• •Co-supervise a group of graduate students and undergraduate research assistants involved in technical AI safety research.
• •Provide guidance and support to students and research assistants throughout the research project.
• •Collaborate with the PI and research team to advance the project’s research objectives.

Qualifying skills:

• •Research experience
• •Refereed publications in mathematics and machine learning.

Experience and Education:

• •PhD in Mathematics or a related field.
• •Postdoc experience
• •Experience supervising groups of graduate students in fields such as Artificial intelligence and Mathematics.
