Description

Position Summary:

The River City Grille Server is responsible for providing guests with an exceptional dining experience by delivering prompt, courteous, and knowledgeable food and beverage service in a hotel restaurant setting. This role ensures guest satisfaction through attention to detail, timely service, and professionalism.

Key Responsibilities:

• •Greet guests promptly and warmly, escort them to tables when necessary.
• •Present menus, answer questions about menu items, and offer recommendations.
• •Take accurate food and beverage orders and relay them to the kitchen and bar.
• •Serve food and beverages to guests in a timely and professional manner.
• •Check in with guests to ensure satisfaction with food and service.
• •Process guest payments accurately (cash, credit, room charge).
• •Set up, clean, and reset tables according to restaurant standards.
• •Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas.
• •Adhere to hotel and restaurant policies, health and safety regulations, and sanitation standards.
• •Communicate effectively with kitchen and other team members.
• •Running food for room service.
• •Upsell menu items and promote hotel services when appropriate.
• •Handle guest complaints or concerns with professionalism or escalate to supervisor as needed.

Requirements

Qualifications:

• •High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• •Previous restaurant or hospitality experience is a plus.
• •Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• •Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and stand for long periods.
• •Must be able to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
• •Familiarity with POS systems and basic math for handling payments.

Physical Requirements:

• •Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
• •Ability to lift trays or items up to 25 pounds.
• •Manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination for serving and carrying trays.
