- Job Description:
- This job is responsible for performing analytical requests, reporting and analysis, and assisting with modeling activities to help manage risk and minimize credit and operating losses. Key responsibilities include overseeing portfolio trends, developing data sets or queries to extract data, and supporting the production of internal and external reporting needs. Job expectations include effectively driving information and insights which have significantly impact regulatory, financial accountability, and directly impact to business policies and goals.
Responsibilities:
Develops and executes reporting to allow risk and business partners to effectively identify and manage risk in an effective manner
Identifies trends and manages the data design, portfolio trends, loss trends, and portfolio dynamics to ensure alignment with business strategies
Participates in various product strategic initiatives affecting multiple risk functions and lines of business to ensure company goals are met
Facilitates the development of database production processes and performance reports for senior management, using data mining and other advanced analytical techniques to aggregate data
Responds to complex ad-hoc requests for information from both internal and external parties
Coordinates cross-functional efforts to remediate data quality issues
Manages the outputs of controls and investigates alerts from the control checks
Global Risk Analytics (GRA) is a sub-line of business within Global Risk Management (GRM), responsible for developing a consistent and coherent set of models, analytical tools, and tests for effective risk and capital measurement, management and reporting across Bank of America. GRA partners with the Lines of Business and Enterprise functions to ensure the capabilities it builds address both internal and regulatory requirements, and are responsive to the changing nature of portfolios, economic conditions, and emerging risks. In executing its activities, GRA drives innovation, process improvement and automation.
- Role Overview:
- The Risk Analysis Specialist III is responsible for transforming complex data into actionable insights that support risk management, strategic decision-making, and executive reporting. This role combines advanced analytics, data visualization, stakeholder engagement, and AI-enabled solutions to identify risks, drive process improvements, and deliver scalable reporting and analytical capabilities across the organization. The role serves as a recognized subject matter expert and trusted advisor, leading complex analytical initiatives and influencing strategic decisions through deep technical expertise, thought leadership, and executive partnership. Key responsibilities include:
Data Analytics & Risk Insights: Leverage advanced analytical techniques, statistical models, and large-scale data analysis to identify trends, risks, opportunities, and control gaps, delivering actionable insights that strengthen risk management, business performance, and decision-making.
Reporting, Visualization & Storytelling: Transform complex data into clear, compelling, and executive-ready narratives by developing intuitive dashboards, visualizations, and reporting solutions that support strategic decision-making and regulatory objectives.
Data Management & Solution Development: Design, develop, and maintain scalable data, reporting, and analytical solutions through effective data management, SQL development, and data transformation practices that ensure accurate, reliable, and actionable information.
Stakeholder Partnership & Executive Influence: Collaborate with business partners and senior leaders to understand strategic priorities, define analytical requirements, and deliver insights, recommendations, and solutions that align with organizational objectives.
Continuous Improvement & Business Optimization: Drive process improvements and operational effectiveness by evaluating performance trends, assessing control environments, and recommending data-driven strategies that enhance outcomes, efficiency, and risk management practices.
AI & Innovation: Leverage Bank-approved AI tools and emerging technologies to improve analytical efficiency, accelerate insight generation, enhance documentation, and deliver innovative solutions while maintaining adherence to governance, risk, and compliance standards.
Required Education & Experience:
Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field, including but not limited to Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Mathematics, Operations Research, Engineering, Finance, Economics, Accounting, or Business Administration.
5+ years of relevant work experience

AI & Innovation: Leverages Bank-approved AI tools and emerging technologies responsibly to streamline activities, improve analytical effectiveness, enhance deliverable quality, and accelerate innovation while adhering to governance and compliance standards.
Data Analytics & Visualization: Utilizes advanced analytical techniques, Tableau, and data visualization tools to transform complex datasets into meaningful insights, executive-ready reporting, and actionable business recommendations.
Data Management & Engineering: Designs and manages scalable data solution
