Job Description: Client Risk Officer

Regulated Entity: ADGM/FSRA and DIFC

Primary Location: DUBAI and ABU DHABI - UAE

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Risk Officer will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing the risk management framework for Apex clients. The role will act as a key second line of defence for the respective clients, ensuring that operational, regulatory, technology, cyber, conduct, and third-party risks are properly identified, monitored, and managed.

Key Responsibilities

Develop and maintain for Apex clients the Enterprise Risk Management framework, Risk Appetite Statement, and Key Risk Indicators.

• •Own and update risk policies, procedures, and risk governance documentation.
• •Maintain the Risk Register for Apex clients across operational, regulatory, conduct, technology, and third-party risks.
• •Overseeing risk management including portfolio analysis.
• •Provide risk reporting and insights to senior management, the Board, and relevant committees.
• •Assess for Apex Clients risks related to new products, digital assets, technology infrastructure, and cybersecurity.
• •Oversee outsourcing and third-party risk management, including due diligence and ongoing monitoring.
• •Lead incident management, root cause analysis, and control improvement actions.
• •Work closely with the client’s Compliance and MLRO teams to align risk management with regulatory and financial crime obligations.
• •Support regulatory discussions and ensure risk documentation is regulator ready.

Requirements

• •Candidate must have Risk management experience for alternative asset managers
• •Must have Experience in CAT 3C regulated entities
• •Must have ADGM / FSRA knowledge & relationships
• •Between 5 to 10 years experience of risk management within financial services Strong understanding of operational risk, conduct risk, regulatory risk and governance Experience working in a regulated environment: ADGM/FSRA and DIFC experience is preferred .
• •Degree in Finance or Risk Professional certification such as FRM, PRM, or CFA are preferred
