Security Specialist (Physical)

Summary

About the Position: This position is in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). Employees occupying DCIPS positions are in the Excepted Service and must adhere to U.S. Code, Title 10, as well as Department of Defense Instruction 1400.25. This position is located at the Security Resiliency Activity ACOFS G-2 Army Insider Threat Program, Fort Belvoir VA.

Duties

• •Serves as an Army MACOM physical security specialist responsible for the development and implementation of plans, policies, and procedures for safeguarding personnel, government property, information and programs (AAE, Collateral, and SCI).
• •Conducts physical security reviews of blueprints, design schematics for SCIF construction and renovations and provides technical security support for SCIF Site Security Management, Electronic Security Systems design and TEMPEST Countermeasures.
• •Develops, prepares and submits information and briefings in support of the Command Staff Inspection Program and DAIG preparatory inspections
• •Serves as primary Staff Action Officer (SAO) for actions pertaining to security program management as assigned by supervisor for a wide variety of security related topics in any given discipline under the purview of the ACoS, G2.

To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. Specialized experience is defined as experience providing oversight for Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI) and physical security programs. Experience planning and executing physical security compliance audits and on-site inspections at various locations. And Experience reviewing physical security blueprints and design schematics for Sensitive Compartmented Information Facility (SCIF) construction and renovations This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GG/GS-12). Specialized experience is progressively responsible intelligence-related security work directly related to the position being filled. Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector or in another government agency as long as it was at a level at least equivalent to the next lower band in the series.
