Senior Account Manager

Branch Location: Western branches of PEI

At Provincial Credit Union, we’re more than a financial institution - we’re a people-first, purpose-driven organization, proudly recognized as one of Canada’s Top 100 Employers for 2026 . We believe strong relationships are at the heart of what we do - with our members, our communities, and each other.

We’re looking for a Senior Account Manager to join our Business Services team and manage a complex portfolio of commercial members. This is an opportunity for an experienced business lender to build trusted, long-term relationships, provide thoughtful financial advice, and help business owners achieve their goals.

As a senior member of the team, you’ll also share your knowledge and experience with colleagues, contribute to departmental initiatives, and help shape the continued growth of our Business Services Department.

What You'll Do:

Manage a complex portfolio of commercial lending relationships, generally involving aggregate business borrowing needs of $1 million or more, higher-risk industries, or other lending complexities.

Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective business members by understanding their financial needs, goals, and opportunities.

Assess, structure, process, and present commercial credit requests in accordance with lending policies and established approval limits.

Present and negotiate financing solutions, ensuring documentation, security, and loan closings are completed accurately and efficiently.

Provide proactive financial advice and identify opportunities to introduce business lending, deposit, and other Credit Union solutions.

Actively contribute to business development and growth by developing new relationships and expanding the Credit Union’s business member base.

Monitor and manage portfolio risk through regular credit reviews, interest rate renewals, site visits, security reviews, overdraft monitoring, and follow-up on delinquent accounts.

Mentor and support team members by sharing expertise, providing guidance, and contributing to the development of the Business Services team.

Travel to meet members at their place of business and between branch locations as required.

What You Bring:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration or a College Diploma focused on Business/Commerce, Finance, Accounting, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Demonstrated experience and success in business lending, sales, and relationship management within the financial services industry.

Strong financial acumen, including advanced experience analyzing financial statements and assessing commercial credit.

Sound judgment and the ability to manage complex lending relationships and risk.

Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build trusted relationships with members and colleagues.

A collaborative approach and willingness to share knowledge and support the success of the team.

Strong organization and attention to detail, with the ability to manage competing priorities and work independently.

Why You’ll Love It Here:

We believe our employees deserve the same outstanding care we give our members. That’s why we offer:

A People-First Culture: Join a supportive team that values collaboration, positivity, and community impact.

Competitive Pay & Bonus Program: Market-aligned salary plus the opportunity for annual bonuses.

Comprehensive Benefits: Health and dental coverage, sick time, and a Defined Contribution Pension Plan & Group Retirement Savings Plan with up to 9% employer contribution.

Work-Life Balance: Three weeks’ vacation to start, plus four personal days and two volunteer days each year.

Career Growth: Tuition reimbursement, training opportunities, and career progression pathways.

Extra Perks: Annual fitness and clothing allowance, reduced employee loan and mortgage rates, and no service fees on banking transactions.

Salary Range: $100,629 - $118,388.

Additional Information

Bondability Requirement: Candidates must be bondable under a fidelity bond policy (includes a criminal and credit check).

Closing Date: October 11th, 2026 .
