How You Will Make a Difference:

The Senior Analyst, GTM Pricing, Costing & Margin will report to the Senior Manager, GTM Pricing, Costing & Margin and support the end-to-end margin management process across the Smartwool and icebreaker Go-To-Market (GTM) organization. This role will partner closely with Product Development, Operations, Sourcing, Supply Chain, Merchandising, and Commercial teams to provide financial analysis and insights that support pricing, costing, and profitability decisions throughout the product lifecycle.

The Senior Analyst will contribute to pricing and profitability frameworks, monitor margin trends, identify risks and opportunities, and support initiatives aimed at driving sustainable revenue growth and gross margin improvement. This role will serve as a key finance partner within the Global Brand Finance organization, providing analytical support and actionable recommendations to enhance decision-making across the GTM process.

Margin Management & GTM Governance

  • Support margin management activities across the GTM calendar, from product concept through commercialization.
  • Monitor margin targets by category and product classification against financial objectives and established guardrails.
  • Assist in preparing profitability reviews for key GTM milestones and decision-making forums.
  • Partner with Merchandising, Product Development, and Operations teams to evaluate product and assortment decisions against financial targets.
  • Analyze margin performance and variances, identify key business drivers, risks, and opportunities, and support the development of corrective action plans.
  • Build and maintain scalable costing, pricing, and margin analytics tools by brand and season, consolidating relevant product information from line lists, source systems, and other supporting files.
  • Prepare clear financial analyses and actionable recommendations for Brand and Finance leadership to support GTM decisions, strategic initiatives, product investments, and margin optimization opportunities

Pricing Strategy, IMU Management & Analytics

  • Support the development and maintenance of pricing frameworks and seasonal pricing architecture.
  • Partner with Global Merchandising to analyze pricing strategies and IMU performance across product categories.
  • Analyze the financial implications of pricing decisions, assortment architecture, and product mix.
  • Support regional teams with pricing evaluations and profitability impact assessments.
  • Incorporate relevant regional assumptions and financial guardrails into pricing and profitability analyses.
  • Monitor pricing performance and IMU attainment, identifying material trends and variances against financial targets.
  • Prepare and execute Price uploads in the system, ensuring data completeness and accuracy.

Costing & Product Profitability

  • Support seasonal costing processes and maintain visibility into product costs throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Collect and validate product cost inputs from the relevant Sourcing teams to support accurate costing and profitability analysis.
  • Collect trade agreement information and maintain the relevant database to support duty rate assessments.
  • Build and maintain profitability models by style and category, linking product costs, pricing decisions, and margin objectives.
  • Evaluate the financial impact of sourcing, manufacturing, materials, and product specification decisions.
  • Partner with the Supply Chain Finance team to monitor cost performance and identify cost and profitability improvement opportunities.
  • Analyze product-level cost, margin and profitability performance against financial targets and commitments, identify the underlying business drivers, and support the assessment of cost optimization opportunities across the product portfolio.
  • Monitor macroeconomic, foreign exchange, tariff, and input-cost trends affecting product profitability.
  • Prepare and execute Standard Cost uploads in the system, ensuring data completeness and accuracy.

Process Excellence & Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Contribute to the development and continuous improvement of pricing, costing and margin models and analytical methodologies, leveraging BI and AI tools to support process optimization and automation.
  • Support the standardization of pricing, costing, profitability, and margin management processes.
  • Collaborate effectively across Merchandising, Product Development, Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, and Commercial organizations.

BI/AI Expectations

  • Develop and routinely use BI/AI-enabled tools to support analysis and reporting activities, in line with company guidelines and business needs.
  • Apply sound professional judgment to review and challenge AI-generated outputs.
  • Leverage BI/AI-enabled tools to enhance speed, efficiency, and insight generation, while remaining accountable for analysis quality and ensuring reliable support for business decision-making.

What you bring

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business, Merchandising, or another quantitative discipline.
  • 3-5 years of experience in pricing, costing, merchandising finance, planning, or a related discipline.
  • Experience within apparel, footwear, retail, or consumer products industries preferred.
  • Strong analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Advanced Excel capabilities required.
  • Experience with SAP, Power BI, AI-enabled tools, or similar analytical platforms preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to translate data into actionable business insights.
  • Strong collaboration skills and ability to work effectively across functions and regions.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
