About the role

The P2P Regional Implementation role drives the end-to-end implementation and standardization of GSK’s global Purchase-to-Pay (P2P) processes / activities and ERP template ensuring standardized, efficient, and compliant P2P operations and strong adoption by business and finance stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own the regional P2P implementation plan across markets/sites, aligned with global ERP/P2P program milestones.
  • Coordinate deployment, testing, cutover, and hyper care activities with global program, tech, shared services, and local teams.
  • Ensure data readiness and operational readiness prior to go-live.
  • Translate the global P2P design and controls into regional execution, balancing template standardization with local legal/tax requirements.
  • Assess and document local process gaps and deviations; work with P2P GPO and Controls to validate or close them.
  • Support design of regional workflows (e.g. approvals, exception handling) to align with global standards.
  • Act as the point of contact for P2P implementation in the region.
  • Drive change impact assessment, communications, and training for end users (requesters, approvers, AP, procurement).
  • Facilitate regional forums and working groups to track readiness, issues, and decisions.
  • Monitor P2P implementation KPIs (e.g. invoice cycle time, PO compliance, first-time match, on-time payment) during and post-go-live.
  • Partner with Risk & Compliance, Tax, and Internal Controls to ensure implemented processes meet GSK policy, segregation of duties, and external compliance requirements.
  • Identify control weaknesses and operational risks arising from implementation and drive remediation plans.
  • Coordinate resolution of process/system/data issues impacting P2P during deployment and stabilization, working with P2P System, Digital & Data and ERP teams.
  • Capture lessons learned, best practices, and reusable assets (playbooks, training, FAQs) and feed back into the global implementation toolkit.
  • Propose enhancements to global templates based on regional experience, supported by data and risk/cost/benefit analysis.

Job Requirements:

  • 5- 10 years of significant experience in Purchase-to-Pay in a multinational company.
  • Proven track record delivering ERP / Finance transformation (e.g. S/4HANA or equivalent) as a process or implementation lead.
  • Hands-on experience with P2P modules in ERP, SAP, S4Hana systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive cross-functional teams across multiple countries/sites and time zones.
  • Strong understanding of finance controls, tax, and regulatory considerations affecting P2P.
  • Experience of working with internal and external stakeholders (e.g. LOC Finance, Customer Services, Treasury, Close & Control (C&C), Tech, external partners/service providers) in a multicultural and remote team environment.
  • Experience in shared services / global business services (P2P / AP operations).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret KPIs and drive performance improvement.
  • Experience in Continuous Improvement and process optimisation (e.g. Lean/Six Sigma concepts, automation/digitalisation initiatives) applied to finance operations.
  • Experience supporting ERP/SAP/S4Hana deployments or enhancements (e.g. testing) led by GPO

Skills Requirements:

  • Degree level or equivalent in Finance, Business, Economics or related discipline (or relevant experience in P2P / finance operations).
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret P2P operational and financial data, identify trends and root causes, and translate insights into concrete actions.
  • Excellent communication skills, able to simplify complex operational topics and present clear messages and recommendations to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management and relationship-building skills, including ability to influence and collaborate across hubs, LOCs and functions.
  • Ability to manage multiple markets/region and competing priorities in a dynamic environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in multicultural settings and remote teams, role-modelling GSK values and expectations, including inclusion, diversity, equity and wellbeing.
