11 About the Role
The Structured Finance and Alternate Investment Funds practice evaluates the credit risk of securitized products and fund structures by analyzing underlying asset performance, structural protections, cash-flow mechanics, and downside stress scenarios. Analysts produce opinions that help issuers and investors compare complex instruments, bringing market-relevant perspectives on performance trends, issuance conditions, and AI's role in origination and securitization.
This role specializes in rating Collateralized Loan Obligations (CLOs), managing the end-to-end ratings process from initial engagement through report publication, and serves as the primary analytical contact for bankers, issuers, and investors throughout the rating process, while also maintaining a portfolio of CLOs for ongoing surveillance.
What You'll Do

We embrace AI as an enabler, guided by rigorous governance and risk management, to enhance the intelligence of our people, deep relationships, and trusted insights. By leveraging technology with human expertise, we help our teams navigate complexity and deliver actionable, decision-ready intelligence without compromising quality, accountability, or integrity.

- Own surveillance and analytical updates for an assigned CLO portfolio, synthesizing performance, market signals, and peer context into decision-useful insights; validate inputs, reconcile metrics, and document model assumptions to ensure adherence to methodology and evidentiary standards.
Stakeholder & Market Engagement
Serve as the primary analytical contact for bankers, issuers, and investors — resolving analytical inquiries, translating complex CLO analysis into clear, client-ready narratives, and communicating S&P Global's analytical expertise to drive engagement with market participants.
Risk Management and Operating
Ensure adherence to methodology, confidentiality, and data governance requirements, escalating issues early with recommendations; embed responsible AI use — approved tools and data only — and contribute to the design, testing, and rollout of controlled automation workflows.
