- Location: London – Soho (2 days per week in office)
- Reports to: Business Architect and Business Analysis Lead
This role is a fantastic opportunity to deliver strategic and cross-cutting analysis spanning Rightmove’s product domains and business functions, and to drive and coordinate the delivery of this work end-to-end.
You will work as part of the central Programmes & Analysis team, specialising in providing analysis and delivery support across all areas of the business, helping to assess opportunities, shape decisions, solve problems, and make things happen.
Your time will be spent predominantly on complex business and technical analysis work, with the occasional requirement to provide light-touch Project Management support on standalone pieces of work, where you are also leading the analysis.
What you’ll be doing
Working closely with both business and technical stakeholders at all levels across the business, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality, technically-grounded analysis, as well as stepping in to provide light-touch Project Management where required
You could be asked to assess a new product opportunity in one area, find the root cause of an issue impacting multiple business areas, or dive into multiple sources of data to answer some urgent questions
You will be developing a broad understanding of Rightmove’s business model, organisational structure, and technical architecture, leveraging knowledge from other team members
You will bring a good depth of technical experience, working comfortably with both business and technical teams to shape solutions, evaluate technical trade-offs, and inform decisions
You will work with representatives from all areas of the business, including Sales teams, Finance teams, People teams, Operational teams, and teams throughout Product Development, building rapport and deepening your understanding with every interaction
You will produce deliverables to suit multiple audiences – from detailed analysis to compelling and engaging presentations, to focused Executive summaries, project plans and RAID Logs
You will move comfortably from high-level strategic activity to detailed technical analysis to delivery planning, sometimes in a single day
You will also be helping to develop and shape the Business Analysis practice, driving high standards, and coaching and mentoring less experienced team members, with the potential to take on line management responsibilities for team members over time
We’re looking for someone who:
Believes strongly in the value that Business Analysis adds
Can independently manage and deliver standalone pieces of work, balancing quality analysis with light-touch Project Management
Is proactive, highly organised and outcome-focused
Loves solving problems and identifying innovative solutions
Is curious, asks great questions and is always looking to develop their skills and knowledge
Can build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and is able to communicate complex or technical concepts in easily understandable ways, tailored to the audience’s needs
Has a good depth of technical experience and is comfortable working with both business and technical stakeholders, translating between the two
Is comfortable coordinating activities across a wide range of stakeholders and roles, including management of delivery timelines, supplier interactions and identification and mitigation of risks
Thrives within a fast-paced, complex and evolving environment
Shares Rightmove’s values and is excited about helping others make their move
Has experience of, or an interest in, line management and Business Analysis practice development (advantageous but not essential)
Experience of Project Management and delivery, from initial shaping and scoping, through planning, delivery, managing risks and dependencies, ongoing progress reporting through
What you’ll bring to the role
Experience of working within both Product/agile and formal Project & Programme delivery environment
A good depth of technical experience (e.g. working with data, systems, APIs/integrations, or technical architecture), and confidence working across both business and technical teams
Organisational and commercial awareness to align work to objectives and value drivers
Confidence in working across business and product domains, with the ability to onboard quickly within an unfamiliar area
Strong stakeholder management, including the ability to build trust and alignment, guide decisions and influence outcomes
Experience of Project Management and delivery, from initial shaping and scoping, through planning, delivery, managing risks and dependencies, ongoing progress reporting through to closure
