The Senior Field Clinical Specialist (FCS) is the clinical expert responsible for enabling safe and successful adoption of EVOQUE therapies by partnering with physicians, cath lab teams and hospitals. The role combines procedural support, clinical education, therapy development and customer engagement.

Job Description

Supports field clinical specialist (TMTT) activities and business outcomes by delivering clinical education and operational expertise, providing post-commercial education and training support to clinical end-users.

How you will make an impact:

Act as a lead on all aspects within the therapy including imaging, integration and troubleshooting techniques related to equipment, software, tools and products required for clinical use including but not limited to intraoperative case coverage and coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs in the Cath Lab

Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel and hospital staff on all aspects of technical matters related to investigational products and procedures including imaging through conducting and/or coordinating one-on-one ad hoc training sessions and in-service structured education programs on two or more technologies or one highly specialized technology

Provide on-site, real-time guidance during clinical implants, including contingency planning to address unforeseen occurrences in support of assigned clinical investigations during complex clinical trial cases

Identify key components for a strategic plan of action and propose recommendations to sales reps and managers within respective territory

Document procedural case observations for learning and training updates.

Collaborate with product development teams to provide feedback and recommend solutions on device iterations and new device development

Identify and train select hospital staff members to act as designated expert on EW products

Other incidental duties

What you will need (Required):

Associate’s degree or equivalent in Associate's or technical certification (e.g., echocardiography, nursing)

7 years’ experience of previous related medical device and/or clinical experience and

Experience as clinical specialist imaging/echocardiographer with TEE or CT experience or

Experience in structural heart devices

Other: certification in RDCS (Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer) within ARDMS (American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography) or equivalent certification (e.g., Nursing (RN/BSN/MSN), Physician Assistant (PA-C), CV Sonography (RDCS/RDS), Cardiovascular Technician (RCIS/CVT/RTR/RCES/CST/RCES/CST) Preferred

What else we look for (Preferred):

Good imaging analysis software skills (e.g. 3Mensio, TomTec, Vitrea, Circle VI, etc.)

Excellent written, verbal, and presentation communication skills

Ability to effectively guide and instruct other imaging specialists in clinical settings on effective imaging equipment operation

Strong diplomacy, influencing and relationship management skills

Demonstrated problem-solving and critical thinking skills

Ability to work in a team environment, fostering collaboration between inter-departmental teams, HCPs and KOLs

Substantial knowledge in cardiovascular science and valvular heart disease processes

Substantial understanding of cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology relevant to EW medical products as it relates to the business

Substantial knowledge and understanding of principles, theories, and concepts relevant to cardiovascular imaging

Knowledge of and adherence to Edwards Environmental Health and Safety and Quality guidelines

Knowledge of Good Clinical Practices

Strict attention to detail

Ability to interact professionally with all organizational levels

Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment

Successful completion of Field Training Program and deemed certified in case management and 3 Mensio management

Must be able to work in a team environment, including inter-departmental teams and key contact representing the organization on projects

Ability to interact with senior internal and external personnel on significant matters often requiring coordination between organizations while understanding implications of work and interdependencies with stakeholders
