Are you ready to make an impact?
West Monroe is seeking a Senior Consultant to join our Consumer & Industrial Products (C&IP) Value Creation team within our Mergers & Acquisitions Practice. As part of our Transaction Advisory Services (TAS) capability, you’ll support private equity investors and their portfolio companies as they evaluate investment opportunities and make decisions. You’ll contribute to operational, technology, and IT transaction advisory engagements across the C&IP landscape.
Transaction diligence is central to this role. You’ll assess a company’s capabilities, risks, and opportunities, then help translate diligence insights into practical recommendations for investment decisions and post-close value creation. You’ll work alongside experienced engagement leaders and colleagues across West Monroe’s broader Value Creation platform.
What You Will Do
Client Delivery
Contribute to operational, technology, and IT transaction advisory engagements for private equity investors and their portfolio companies.
Assess technology capabilities, operational maturity, organizational readiness, and business risks that may affect an investment thesis. Support sell-side and strategic corporate transactions where applicable.
Analyze operating models, technology investments, digital capabilities, and organizational structures to identify risks and opportunities for value creation.
Synthesize findings into clear, actionable recommendations that support investment decisions and inform post-close planning.
Support management meetings and client discussions, and present analysis and findings to investment teams, operating partners, and company leaders.
Own defined analyses and workstreams, coordinating with engagement leaders and other team members to deliver high-quality work on time.
Collaborate with portfolio company leaders and cross-functional West Monroe teams on targeted value creation initiatives informed by diligence findings.
Contribute to the development of TAS methodologies, tools, and approaches.
Use AI tools to support research, analysis, and synthesis, applying sound judgment to evaluate outputs and ensure the quality of client recommendations.
Business Development
Build relationships with private equity investors, operating partners, and portfolio company executives through client work and industry interactions.
Support opportunities across Transaction Advisory Services and the broader C&IP Value Creation platform by contributing to solution design, scoping, pricing, proposals, and client presentations.
Share relevant industry perspectives and support thought leadership and other market-facing activities.
Practice Development
Contribute to TAS methodologies, delivery approaches, and reusable assets that improve client outcomes and consistency.
Support and coach junior team members, share knowledge, and contribute to a collaborative team environment.
Partner with colleagues across the M&A Practice and C&IP Value Creation team to support integrated client delivery.
Participate in recruiting, onboarding, and other activities that support the growth of the TAS capability.
What You Will Bring
4+ years of management consulting, transaction advisory, operational consulting, technology consulting, or related experience supporting mergers and acquisitions.
Experience supporting operational, technology, or IT due diligence engagements, preferably for private equity investors or portfolio companies preferred
Experience managing defined workstreams and delivering high-quality analysis in a client-facing environment.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to synthesize complex information into clear recommendations.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to discuss findings with senior client stakeholders.
Familiarity with the transaction lifecycle and how diligence findings can inform post-close value creation.
Experience using AI tools, such as ChatGPT, to support day-to-day work, along with the critical thinking needed to check accuracy, consider potential bias, and produce high-quality outputs.
Ability to travel up to 50%.
Ability to work permanently in the United States without sponsorship.
A commitment to inclusion and diversity, and openness to new ideas and perspectives.
