Job Summary
The Senior Financial Analyst position is part of CNA’s Investments, Treasury & Investor Relations Division. This division is responsible for managing the firm's bank relationships and cash management activities, as well as trade settlement, analysis, accounting and reporting for the firm's $40+ billion investment portfolio. This role offers an opportunity to collaborate across the division and with various business units outside of Investments & Treasury including our banking partners and asset managers in order to align strategic initiatives with daily activities.
JOB DESCRIPTION:
Essential Duties & Responsibilities may include:
- Performs various cash management activities which includes daily cash positioning, monitoring cash settlement activities, payment execution and resolving payment exceptions such as rejects, recalls, and stop payments. These activities are executed through the Company’s Treasury management system and various banking portals.
- Acts as a liaison between Treasury and CNA business units and with banking partners. Responsibilities include executing bank account documentation; supporting account openings, closures, and signatory changes.
- Participates in defining the issues and scope of assigned projects; suggests approach and methodology, and enhances analysis where applicable. Assist in the development and implementation of Treasury/accounting processes and workflow.
- Partner with business units to address treasury-related banking requests and provide operational support for payment processing activities.
- Administer banking platforms and treasury management systems, including user access, entitlements, security maintenance, and bank connectivity.
- Participates in Sarbanes-Oxley reviews as needed and completing audit requests while adhering to SOX control procedures.

- Excellent organization, planning and time management skills. Proven ability to manage competing priorities and execute deliverables in a timely fashion.

- Strong analytical skills able to solve problems creatively by using your imagination, valuing diverse ideas, embracing change, and making processes as efficient as possible.
- Ability to foster and maintain collaborative relationships with external and internal customers, peers, and management.
- Good verbal and written communication and presentation skills.
- Technical knowledge of banking processes, documentation, applications and controls is a plus.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in finance, accounting, or related field
- Typically 3 or more years of related experience
- Certified Treasury Professional (CTP) designation a plus

I n certain jurisdictions, CNA is legally required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role. In District of Columbia , California, Colorado, Connecticut, Illinois , Maryland , Massachusetts , New York and Washington, the national base pay range for this job level is $54,000 to $103,000 annually. Salary determinations are based on various factors, including but not limited to, relevant work experience, skills, certifications and location.
