Why this role is important to us:

The Governance team primary role is to ensure adequate governance is in place within the Global AML Center to support the effectiveness of Corporate Programs / Policies, minimising regulatory, monetary and reputational risks for the team and the team's service recipients.

Outsourcing Governance

Tasked with coordinating the team’s governance requirements related to outsourcing. Working closely with the Reporting Specialists to deliver periodic reporting to Service Recipients.

What you will be responsible for:

Drive the development and maintenance of a strong governance framework for the team

Effectively manage stakeholder relationships to ensure communication of all governance related risks, through Leadership and Operational Forums

Ensure clear lines of communication and appropriate governance is in place for outsourced service recipients

Drive the delivery of accurate and appropriate MI (Monthly Service Review Meetings) to enable stakeholders and senior management to track progress in line with regulatory requirements

Serve as an escalation point for governance issues

Ensure procedures / guidance notes / controls are maintained for the Governance team

Assist with external regulatory examinations and internal assurance / testing that cover Governance related topics

Demonstrate commitment to AML risk excellence through the provision of ancillary tasks that support the firms know your customer due diligence

Maintain role-specific knowledge of the current anti-money laundering and financial crime risks and issues through completion of the annual AML Academy, and any other financial crime training deemed applicable to the role.

Ensure quality and skills of resources are appropriate for the teams Governance function

Encourage the team to follow the speak up, listen up values - including timely escalation of AML concerns, suspicious activity or any corporate policy breaches

These skills will help you succeed in this role:

Managing a demanding team/program to tight deadlines in the face of constantly changing policy and procedures

Working with multiple stakeholders across the 3LOD

Excellent interpersonal, organizational and administrative skills – ability to keep meticulous records

Strong knowledge and capabilities in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and reporting design

Experience with SharePoint would be an advantage

Evidence of strong communication & influencing skills; ability to clearly communicate complex issues to both senior / executive management and a team of junior specialists

Strong presentation skills including experience in face to face presentations to senior management

Problem solving ability

Very good language skills in English

Education & Preferred Qualifications:

Advanced knowledge of governance requirements and processes

Strong background in Financial Services / Management Consulting

Knowledge of Anti Money Laundering, Know Your Client and Financial Crime regulations, policies and processes is seen as an advantage

Experience of leading, coaching and developing staff (preferable to have 5 years +)
