Senior Java Engineer – Reporting & Data Processing Solutions

Job Description :- We are seeking a experienced Java Engineer to join our onsite development team. The candidate should have expertise in modern Java technologies, enterprise application development, and batch processing solutions. The candidate should have good knowledge on Java 17+ , Spring Boot3+ and Spring Batch 5+. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable and high-performance applications while collaborating closely with cross-functional teams.

Key Responsibilities

• •Design, develop, and maintain enterprise-grade applications using Java 17 and Spring Boot 3+.
• •Develop and support large-scale batch processing solutions using Spring Batch 5+.
• •Analyse, troubleshoot, and resolve production issues while ensuring application stability and performance.
• •Design RESTful APIs and integrate with internal and external systems.
• •Participate in architecture discussions, code reviews, and technical decision-making.
• •Ensure adherence to coding standards, security guidelines, and best practices.
• •Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, QA teams, and DevOps engineers throughout the software development lifecycle.
• •Mentor junior developers and contribute to knowledge sharing within the team.

Required Skills & Experience

Must-Have

• •8-12 years of experience in Java.
• •Expertise in Java 17 .
• •Experience with Spring Boot 3+ and Spring Data JPA 3+ .
• •Strong experience with Spring Batch 5+ for batch processing and job scheduling.
• •Experience developing and consuming RESTful APIs(with JSON)
• •Strong knowledge of SQL and relational databases(Oracle Database)
• •Solid understanding of object-oriented design principles and design patterns.
• •Experience with Git-based source control systems, Apache Kafka 3+, OpenAPI 3.0 specification (SpringDoc 2.8+), IntelliJ IDEA or VS Code, Maven 3+, JUnit 5 + Mockito 5+ for testing
• •Strong analytical, problem-solving, and debugging skills.
• •Very strong Domain Knowledge and experience with financial messaging standard like – CODA, CAMT & MT
• •Experience in payment reporting processes and regulatory reporting is required.
• •Strong understanding of payment reporting, payment flows, reconciliation, and reporting controls.
• •Must possess expertise in payment reporting, data analysis, and compliance requirements.
• •Experience using AI-assisted development tools like GitHub Copilot, Microsoft Copilot
• •Experience in Monitoring & Storage - Prometheus and Grafana monitoring stack , Amazon S3 object storage

Nice-to-Have Skills

• •Experience in Frontend stack TypeScript / JavaScript ,HTML5 / CSS3, Vite build tool,Node.js 18+ LTS
• •Experience in Infrastructure & DevOps - OpenShift / Kubernetes container orchestration ,Docker 24+ containerisation ,Azure DevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions ,CI/CD automation and deployment best practices
• •Experience in Development Tools like MapStruct 1.6+ for DTO mapping ,Lombok for reducing boilerplate code ,SonarQube 9.x+ for code quality management ,OWASP Dependency Check 12+ for security vulnerability scanning
• •Experience in API & Data Standards like RFC 7807 Problem Details for HTTP API error handling
