Our work includes stormwater and irrigation modeling and related infrastructure design, storm water systems (culverts, pipes etc) assessment, drainage and irrigation pumping —supporting safe, efficient, and resilient operations for our clients.

You are an experienced water resources design engineer or project / people manager with a proven track record delivering and managing complex infrastructure projects. You bring a strong appreciation for leadership, quality, and client service. Beyond technical and management excellence, you are a relationship‑builder with established client contacts and who is comfortable identifying opportunities, nurturing long‑term partnerships, and helping grow new work fronts within the water resources sector.

You will lead design and production efforts and provide technical and professional leadership to Engineers, Project Managers, designers, technologists, and inspection staff throughout the project lifecycle. You will collaborate closely with division leadership on resourcing, proposal development, and strategic growth, while mentoring emerging technical talent within the team.

YOUR ROLE:

Lead engineering design from conceptual planning through detailed construction drawings

Supervise and guide the preparation of complex design deliverables

Provide technical leadership, mentorship, and direction to engineering and technical staff

Provide leadership to Project Managers with scope definition, scheduling, and fee proposal development

Undertake quality control and ensure compliance with Binnie’s Organizational Quality Management Program

Leverage existing client relationships and proactively develop new client connections and opportunities

Participate in business development activities, including client meetings, proposals, and pursuits

Contribute to the strategic growth of the Professional Service Group

WHAT YOU BRING:

Minimum 10+ years of progressive experience in water resources projects

Degree in Water Resources Engineering (or related discipline)

Water Resource Project experience

Demonstrated experience acting as Engineer of Record or Senior Project Manager on complex infrastructure projects

Strong working knowledge of Civil 3D, AutoCAD, and relevant hydraulic analysis software

Proven client management experience, with established industry contacts and trusted relationships

Ability to attract new work, identify opportunities, and support business growth initiatives

Excellent communication, leadership, and time‑management skills

Confidence delivering high‑quality work with minimal supervision
