Job Description

Overview:

As the Senior Manager, International Tax Compliance, you will lead and manage the Company’s end-to-end U.S. international tax compliance process. Reporting directly to the Director, International Tax, you will coordinate the annual compliance calendar, oversee data collection and workpapers, prepare and review complex U.S. international tax calculations and information returns, manage external service providers, and ensure timely, accurate, and well-controlled filings. You will partner closely with tax accounting, domestic tax, transfer pricing, treasury, legal, finance, and global business colleagues to translate complex rules and transactions into complete and supportable U.S. tax reporting.

Responsibilities:

Lead the overall U.S. international tax compliance process, including development and management of the annual compliance calendar, assignment of responsibilities, coordination of data requests, review milestones, issue escalation, and delivery of complete and timely filings

  • Prepare and review U.S. international tax calculations supporting the federal income tax return, including Subpart F, GILTI, foreign-derived deduction computations, foreign tax credits and expense allocation, section 163(j), BEAT, foreign currency matters, previously taxed earnings and profits, and related tax-basis and earnings-and-profits attributes
  • Prepare and review applicable U.S. international information returns and related schedules and statements, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 5472, 1118, 8990, 8991, 8992, and 8993, as well as Forms 926, 8832, 8023, 8883, and other transaction- or fact-specific filings, as applicable
  • Own the completeness and accuracy of entity-level reporting, including filer-category analyses, entity classifications, organizational charts, ownership data, intercompany transactions, foreign taxes, earnings and profits, tax pools, stock basis, previously taxed earnings and profits, and required elections and disclosures
  • Coordinate with finance teams worldwide to obtain, validate, and reconcile trial balances, tax packages, legal-entity data, foreign tax returns, transfer-pricing information, and transaction details; resolve data gaps and document judgments
  • Manage external service providers, including setting scope and timelines, monitoring deliverables and budgets, reviewing work product, resolving technical and data issues, and maintaining clear accountability for final filings
  • Maintain robust compliance controls, standardized workpapers, review checklists, reconciliations, documentation, and retention procedures to support return positions and readiness for examination
  • Research and document complex U.S. international tax compliance issues, monitor legislative, regulatory, and form changes, and translate developments into practical filing requirements, process changes, and stakeholder communications
  • Partner with the tax accounting team to reconcile return computations to quarterly and year-end provision amounts and explain return-to-provision adjustments and other book-to-tax differences
  • Assess the U.S. international tax reporting consequences of acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, legal-entity changes, financing transactions, dividends, and other intercompany transactions, and ensure required elections, statements, and forms are timely prepared
  • Support U.S. federal tax examinations by preparing responses to information document requests, compiling supporting documentation, and explaining international return positions and underlying calculations
  • Drive continuous improvement through standardization, automation, tax technology, data analytics, and stronger integration among source systems, workpapers, provision models, and compliance software

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 5 years of U.S. international tax experience, with substantial hands-on experience managing complex multinational tax compliance
  • A bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
  • Deep technical knowledge of U.S. international tax compliance, including Forms 5471, 8858, 8865, 5472, and 1118 and the calculations and disclosures related to controlled foreign corporations, foreign disregarded entities, foreign partnerships, foreign tax credits, Subpart F, GILTI, previously taxed earnings and profits, earnings and profits, and tax basis
  • Working knowledge of related U.S. international and corporate tax reporting requirements, including withholding tax reporting, entity elections, cross-border transaction filings, BEAT, section 163(j), transfer pricing, and applicable return statements and elections
  • Demonstrated ability to lead a recurring compliance process involving numerous legal entities, jurisdictions, data owners, reviewers, deadlines, and external advisors while maintaining accuracy and accountability
  • Strong project-management, review, and analytical skills, with exceptional attention to detail and the ability to identify inconsistencies across tax returns, workpapers, provision models, legal-entity records, and source data
  • Experience with tax compliance and data-transformation tools, including Corptax and Alteryx, and advanced Microsoft Excel functionality
  • The ability to research and interpret complex tax rules, form instructions, and administrative guidance and to document conclusions in clear, audit-ready memoranda and workpapers
  • The ability to build strong working relationships with tax, finance, treasury, legal, and business colleagues around the world, as well as executive management and external advisors
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, sound professional judgment, a collaborative mindset, and the ability to explain complex compliance requirements to tax and non-tax stakeholders

Preferred Qualifications:

  • CPA certification
  • Master’s degree with a focus in Tax
  • A combination of Big 4 public accounting and large multinational corporate experience
