About the Opportunity

As a Senior Manufacturing Technician, you will assemble, test, troubleshoot and support the production of complex robotic systems and related products. You will be hands-on, helping to scale our production capabilities and assemble the devices that will be shipped to our customers. You will serve as a technical leader on the manufacturing floor, working closely with Manufacturing Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain, and R&D to resolve issues, strengthen processes, train other team members, and deliver high-quality products.

What You’ll Do

Assemble, configure, calibrate, test, inspect, and package complex electromechanical medical devices in accordance with approved manufacturing procedures.

Independently perform advanced mechanical, electrical, and system-level assembly operations.

Execute software installation, system provisioning, calibration, functional testing, and final acceptance activities.

Accurately complete electronic device history records, travelers, inspection records, and other controlled production documentation.

Maintain strict compliance with approved procedures, quality-system requirements, ESD controls, and safety practices.

Consistently meet expectations for workmanship, quality, output, and schedule.

Escalate issues appropriately and partner with Manufacturing Engineering and Quality to determine disposition and corrective actions.

Provide practical feedback on product design, assembly sequence, tooling, test methods, and process risks.

Assist with the design, evaluation, qualification, and maintenance of manufacturing fixtures, tools, and test equipment.

Desired Skills & Experience

High School Diploma or equivalent required

5+ years of experience in manufacturing of complex electromechanical assemblies and medical devices.

Excellent manual dexterity and workmanship, including experience with precision mechanical assembly, cable routing, PCBA handling, fasteners, adhesives, and controlled torque operations.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to following controlled procedures.

Experience completing production records accurately and contemporaneously.

Ability to use common inspection and test equipment such as calipers, multimeters, microscopes, and electrical or functional test fixtures.

Experience working in ESD sensitive environments

Ability to lift up to 50lbs and assemble large mechanical equipment

Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with engineers, quality personnel, and operations leadership.

Experience manufacturing FDA-regulated medical devices or other products in a highly regulated industry.

Position Logistics

This position is required to be on-site at Mendaera HQ in San Mateo.

The hourly pay rate for this position is $56.25 - $65.87.
