Position Summary

The Senior Marketing Automation Specialist is responsible for the development, execution, optimization, and quality assurance of email marketing campaigns, audience segmentation, forms, landing pages, and automated audience journeys within Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

This is a senior-level, hands-on execution role requiring advanced expertise in Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including Journey Builder, Automation Studio, SQL, and AmpScript. The ideal candidate can independently build, troubleshoot, and optimize marketing automation solutions while ensuring accuracy, scalability, and alignment with business requirements.

This role partners closely with Marketing, Sales, CRM, and business stakeholders to deliver high-quality marketing programs and audience experiences. Strong communication, organization, and stakeholder engagement skills are essential, as the role manages multiple priorities while maintaining operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

Develop, test, deploy, and optimize email campaigns using Litmus and Salesforce Marketing Cloud.

Build and maintain forms, landing pages, audience segments, and automated audience journeys.

Configure, maintain, and optimize Journey Builder programs and Automation Studio workflows.

Write and maintain SQL queries to support audience segmentation, automation, and reporting.

Develop personalized and dynamic content using AmpScript.

Perform quality assurance testing, validation, and deployment readiness reviews.

Troubleshoot campaign, automation, segmentation, data, and personalization issues.

Partner with stakeholders to translate business requirements into effective marketing automation solutions.

Support process improvement initiatives and marketing automation best practices.

Manage multiple projects while maintaining high standards of accuracy and execution quality.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business Administration, Digital Marketing, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.

Must have 4+ years of hands-on experience with enterprise-level Salesforce Marketing Cloud Engagement focused on developing and deploying email campaigns, audience journeys, forms, and landing pages.

Must have proven experience with Journey Builder, Automation Studio, SQL, AmpScript, Contact Builder, Salesforce CRM integration, and quality assurance testing .

Must have strong communication, collaboration and interpersonal skills.

Experience with email testing, quality assurance, and deployment validation using Litmus or similar testing platforms.

Proven ability to independently build, troubleshoot, optimize, and execute complex marketing automation solutions.

Strong understanding of email marketing best practices, audience journey execution, segmentation, personalization, and quality assurance.

Strong organizational, analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Demonstrated curiosity, continuous learning mindset, and commitment to process improvement.

Preferred Experience and Qualifications

Experience supporting lead generation and lead capture initiatives, including LinkedIn Lead Gen Forms, Meta Lead Ads, and other digital lead acquisition platforms.

Experience integrating marketing technologies and business systems using APIs, webhooks, Zapier, or similar integration tools.

Experience integrating digital lead sources with Salesforce CRM, Salesforce Marketing Cloud, or other marketing automation platforms.

Knowledge of lead management, lead routing, campaign attribution, and customer lifecycle marketing processes.

Experience supporting global marketing programs, multi-region campaigns, and cross-functional stakeholder teams.

Salesforce Marketing Cloud Email Specialist and/or Administrator Certification preferred.

Familiarity with project management tools.

General usage of AI functionality (CoPilot, Claude, etc.)
