Review and manage MEP drawings, specifications, RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, and construction documents to ensure technical accuracy and alignment with project objectives.

Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal codes, institutional standards, energy regulations, life safety requirements, and sustainability goals.

Develop and monitor project schedules, identifying risks and coordinating construction activities to minimize disruption to ongoing campus operations.

Manage MEP-related budgets, forecasts, contracts, change orders, and cost-control initiatives.

Provide technical leadership during value engineering, constructability reviews, and design development processes.

Oversee procurement and delivery of critical and long-lead MEP equipment and infrastructure components.

Coordinate inspections, testing, commissioning, startup, and turnover activities to ensure systems perform as designed.

Partner with Facilities Management, Capital Projects, Administration, Faculty, and Department Leadership to align project objectives with institutional priorities.

Support campus energy efficiency, resiliency, deferred maintenance, and long-term asset management initiatives.

Lead project closeout efforts, including as-built documentation, training, O&M manuals, warranties, and transition to campus operations teams.

Mentor junior project managers and provide guidance on MEP best practices, project controls, and technical issues.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

8+ years of experience managing MEP scopes for higher education, institutional, healthcare, public-sector, or large commercial construction projects.

Demonstrated experience leading complex renovation, infrastructure, and occupied-facility projects.

Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, building automation, controls, and life safety systems.

Experience with commissioning, energy-efficient building systems, sustainability initiatives, and campus infrastructure projects preferred.

Ability to manage multiple stakeholders, consultants, contractors, and projects in a fast-paced environment.

Proficiency with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, Autodesk Construction Cloud, or similar project management software.

Exceptional communication, leadership, organization, and problem-solving skills.
