  • Estimate fees, define scopes of services, and prepare proposals and contracts appropriate to project scale and complexity.
  • Prepare and lead presentations to clients, commissions, boards, and other stakeholder groups, communicating design concepts, technical considerations, and project priorities.
  • Collaborate with project architects and designers to establish milestones and timelines for design decisions, coordinating client approvals with project requirements.
  • Plan and manage staffing across projects and phases, ensuring teams have adequate resources and balancing assignments according to workload, experience, and individual strengths.
  • Coordinate internal teams and consultants to resolve complex issues and maintain continuity across project phases.
  • Provide direction and mentorship to project teams, supporting collaboration, accountability, and professional development.

III. Required Skills, Knowledge, and Experience

  • 15+ years of relevant experience, including substantial experience managing projects involving historic and existing buildings for cultural, institutional, and higher education clients.
  • Demonstrated success managing multiple projects concurrently or leading a single large-scale, highly complex institutional project.
  • Strong client relationships and communication skills, including experience guiding complex decision-making and presenting to stakeholder groups.
  • Demonstrated experience managing project scope, fees, budgets, schedules, contracts, and staffing.
  • Strong design judgment and technical knowledge, with the ability to anticipate workflow, coordination needs, and resource requirements across project phases.
  • Proven ability to lead collaborative teams, delegate effectively, and support staff development.
  • Proficiency in software used for presentations, contract documentation, project management, and communication.
  • Working proficiency in Revit.
