This position offers the opportunity to join a large, collaborative team that has been integral to the design of a major ground-up cultural project and will now carry that work through a multi-year Construction Administration phase.

The Intermediate Architectural Designer will work closely with the project team to support the continued development, coordination, and documentation of the design through construction.

The ideal candidate will have strong Construction Administration experience, advanced BIM proficiency, and excellent technical, coordination, and communication skills. Experience with large cultural or institutional projects is preferred but not required.

  • Advanced proficiency in Revit and other design technology software.
  • Strong BIM skills, including model management, interdisciplinary coordination, and experience using BIM for design coordination and clash detection.
  • Familiarity with MEP systems and multidisciplinary coordination.
  • Ability to independently develop and apply architectural solutions for assigned project tasks with guidance from senior project leadership as appropriate.

General Responsibilities

  • Contribute to all phases of project development, from design through construction administration.
  • Prepare, develop, and coordinate design and construction documents.
  • Develop and maintain Revit models and utilize BIM to support project documentation, consultant coordination, multidisciplinary collaboration, and design coordination.
  • Coordinate architectural work with structural, MEP, and specialty consultants using BIM tools to support project coordination and resolve design conflicts.
  • Participate in Construction Administration activities, including reviewing RFIs, submittals, shop drawings, site observations, and coordination with contractors and consultants.
  • Produce high-quality project deliverables while meeting project schedules and quality standards.
  • Collaborate with project managers, architects, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams to support successful project execution.
  • Contribute to technical problem-solving and project coordination throughout all project phases.
