Summary:

​Leads security engineering efforts for critical systems and services, providing technical direction and hands-on expertise in securing Tekion’s platforms. Partners with cross-functional teams to drive security architecture, threat detection, and proactive risk mitigation. ​

Duties & Responsibilities:

• •​Designs and implements advanced security controls across cloud infrastructure, applications, and networks.
• •​Leads threat modeling exercises and security design reviews for high-impact systems and services.
• •​Develops detection mechanisms, incident response playbooks, and remediation strategies.
• •​Drives automation of security operations, including monitoring, alerting, and vulnerability management.
• •​Collaborates with engineering, product, and DevOps teams to embed security into development pipelines and platform architecture.
• •​Mentors junior security engineers and supports technical growth across the security team. ​

Qualifications:

• •​5–7 years of experience in security engineering, cloud security, or infrastructure protection
• •​Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
• •​Deep experience with AWS/GCP/Azure security services and infrastructure hardening
• •​Strong scripting and automation skills (e.g., Python, Bash, Terraform)
• •​Proficiency with security tools (e.g., SIEMs, IDS/IPS, SAST/DAST, WAFs)
• •​Familiarity with compliance frameworks (e.g., SOC 2, ISO 27001, NIST)
• •​Excellent analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills
