Working closely with Creative Leadership, Marketing, and Sales, this role transforms complex VFX shot archives into compelling, narrative-driven promotional reels that elevate the studio’s brand across client presentations, pitch decks, and commercial reels.
Key Responsibilities
- Editorial Strategy & Assembly: Lead the creative edit, rhythm, and pacing for studio master reels, department breakdowns, and specialized project showreels.
- Rapid Turnaround & Efficiency: Deliver quick-turnaround edits and customized reel variations to meet urgent sales pitches and client requests.
- Commercial & Sales Alignment: Collaborate directly with Sales and Business Development teams to align shot curation and reel structure with prospective client needs and market positioning.
- Creative Collaboration: Partner with VFX Supervisors and Creative Heads to capture the visual standard and technical complexity of the studio's work without requiring micro-level shot selection guidance.
- Review & Approval Management: Drive the approval process through creative leadership, integrating executive feedback efficiently to deliver publish-ready cuts.
- Finish & Asset Oversight: Oversee final polish, color integration, and conforming to ensure all reels meet high-end distribution standards across target platforms.
Requirements
- 5+ Years of Experience: Proven track record in VFX editorial, high-end post-production, or film trailer houses, with a portfolio of master reels.
- Organizational Excellence: Highly organized with strong media management skills to efficiently maintain, track, and retrieve assets from extensive VFX archives.
- Advanced Technical Command: Expertise in primary NLEs (Premiere Pro, Avid, or equivalent) alongside familiarity with color-managed, multi-format VFX pipelines and review platforms (Frame.io).
- Storytelling & Pacing Mastery: Exceptional instincts for montage pacing, shot selection, audio integration, and visual rhythm.
- Cross-Functional Communication: Demonstrated ability to interface seamlessly with Executives and BOT Internal Team to balance artistic quality with business goals.
- Autonomous Execution: Proactive problem solver who thrives in managing end-to-end editorial workflows from initial concept through final delivery.
