This role will integrate MCU1 software with the CCU compute platform, Thor SoCs, Functional Safety Island, IVI, MCU3, IMU, networking, diagnostics, and vehicle-facing services. - Hands-on experience testing embedded systems that include microcontrollers, SoCs, sensors, networking, diagnostics, or safety-related functions.
- Ability to read and interpret software requirements, interface control documents, hardware-software interface specifications, architecture descriptions, and test results.
- Experience developing structured test cases and analyzing failures using logs, traces, diagnostic data, and bench instrumentation.
- Programming or scripting experience in Python or a comparable language.
- Experience with version control, issue tracking, continuous integration, and software build or release processes.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work effectively across software, hardware, systems, safety, and program teams.
- Ability to work on-site with lab and vehicle-integration equipment and participate in hands-on bench bring-up, test execution, and issue triage.
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with automotive embedded platforms, AUTOSAR or GM BSW, RTOS-based systems, QNX, Linux, SafeRTOS, or safety-island architectures.
- Experience with MCU'S, Thor SOC, FSI, SPI, Ethernet, SOME/IP, UDS, CAN, I2C, ADC, GPIO, or time-synchronization interfaces.
- Experience with MCU bootloaders, secure boot, software update, diagnostic services, DTC/DID/RID validation, key provisioning, or manufacturing tooling.
- Experience with hardware-in-the-loop, system benches, Lauterbach, ETAS, Vector tools, oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, power supplies, or network analyzers.
- Experience with Robot Framework, Autobot, Jenkins, Xray, Git/GitHub, Jira, Grafana, or comparable automation and evidence systems.
- Knowledge of ISO 26262, functional safety, cybersecurity, FMEA, fault injection, code coverage, and automotive quality processes.
