About Frontline Wildfire Defense

Founded in 2017 by landscape ecologist and fire mitigation expert Harry Statter, Frontline developed the first fully integrated wildfire defense system to stop the leading cause of home loss in wildfires: ember-driven ignition. The system combines exterior sprinklers, full-coverage design, and connected software for remote monitoring and response, allowing homes to protect themselves long after families evacuate or infrastructure fails.

Proven effective during the 2025 Los Angeles wildfires, 96% of homes with Frontline systems survived. That success has earned top industry recognition, including Frontline being recognized as one of TIME’s Best Inventions 2025 in the Green Tech category and receiving the PCBC Gold Nugget Award for “Most Innovative Housing Concept” and the Best of IBS Award for “Best Home Technology.”

As wildfires grow hotter and more frequent, our vision is to give people the tools and strategies to live safely with fire. We’re building a mission-driven team creating real-world solutions in wildfire safety and climate tech.

About This Opportunity

Frontline's software products are live, in use, and improving - and the opportunity ahead is to take them significantly further. The right person here is a builder at heart: someone who can absorb what exists, bring structure and rigor to how it evolves, and drive the roadmap that connects a proven hardware system to a world-class software experience. Translate customer, installer, support, and business needs into clear requirements and PRDs

Prioritize across revenue, customer experience, reliability, install scale, and support burden

Build lightweight prototypes and MVPs to validate ideas before build

Program Execution

Lead cross-functional initiatives from concept through launch, owning scope, milestones, and risks

Coordinate with software, firmware, hardware, and data teams to ensure data flow

Establish simple rhythms for roadmap, release planning, and post-launch learning, and CI/CD pipeline management

Team & Process

Grow and mentor the software product and function as the team scales

Stand up key software product processes: development lifecycle, requirements, and release management

Qualifications

Must-Have:

7+ years in software product, technical product, or program management

Track record delivering complex software products from concept through launch

Technical fluency across mobile/web apps, backend, APIs, data products, and cloud software

Experience partnering with engineering to define requirements and ship production software

Systems thinking across software, hardware, field operations, and business strategy

Startup-comfortable: hands-on and self-directed, with excellent communication and prioritization

Nice-to-Have:

IoT, connected hardware, smart home, climate tech, or mission-critical products

Mobile app products (iOS/Android and/or React Native)

Geospatial/mapping, telemetry, AI/ML-enabled, or data-platform products

401(k) retirement plan

Flexible time off + 14 paid holidays (yes, your birthday is one of them!)
