Join our award-winning Building Structures team in Birmingham and help deliver high-impact projects across the UK and beyond.You’ll play a key role in delivering projects within our Buildings & Places practice, taking responsibility for both design and project delivery across a varied client base. You’ll lead and deliver a varied portfolio of building structures projects across sectors including Education, Commercial, Residential, Energy, Defence, and Transport. You’ll:

• •Lead the design and delivery of projects from concept to construction
• •Manage small project teams and mentor junior engineers
• •Act as a key client contact, building strong relationships
• •Deliver high-quality, efficient structural designs
• •Work collaboratively within a multi-disciplinary environment
• •Identify new opportunities and contribute to business growth

Your role

• •Deliver multiple projects, or components of larger schemes, to programme and budget.
• •Produce and oversee high-quality, efficient structural designs.
• •Apply your technical expertise across a broad range of building structures.
• •Ensure compliance with BIM standards, Digital Plan of Work, and project BIM Execution Plans.
• •Act as a key point of contact for clients, contractors, and design teams.
• •Lead and support project teams, including mentoring junior engineers.
• •Manage your time effectively across competing project demands.
• •Oversee and guide small project teams, reporting to the team leader.
• •Build strong client relationships and help identify new business opportunities.

About You

• •Chartered Engineer (MIStructE or MICE), or close to achieving chartership.
• •Proven ability to lead structural delivery on small to medium projects.
• •Strong experience designing with common structural materials and current standards.
• •Familiarity with Tekla Structural Designer, Robot, or similar tools (desirable).
• •Experience delivering projects from concept through to construction.
• •Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• •A proactive mindset with the confidence to make decisions and take ownership.
