Amazon Global Logistics is transforming international trade by making cross-border shipping frictionless for sellers and customers worldwide. As a Senior UX Researcher on the Global Logistics Experience (GLX) team, you'll own the end-to-end user experience for tools that enable sellers to ship globally with confidence—directly fueling Amazon's flywheel by expanding international selection, attracting more customers, and accelerating growth. You'll operate at the intersection of complex logistics systems, data-rich interfaces, and diverse user needs spanning sellers, operators, and customers across 200+ countries. This is a high-impact role where your research insights shape how millions interact with global ecommerce.

  • Be a UX research thought and executional leader for our team and larger organization. Learn and Be Curious about the employee, and the business, and communicate effectively to educate others on the art and science of user research

Leverage your expertise in conducting end-to-end user research studies; planning, recruitment, execution, analysis and delivery

Making autonomous decisions to evaluate which methodology and approaches work, and which don’t with an expertise in a wide variety of methodologies

Partner with fellow UX Designers and product stakeholders to develop and implement best practices and help create tools and self-service models to help our research practice and delivery of customer insights scale across our organization

You'll lead translating user insights into strategic recommendations to help our initiatives - collaborating with both designers and product leaders make informed strategic decisions

  • A day in the life
  • Working with fellow UX Designers, and product partners, sales organization - you will craft and lead end-to-end studies across both the generative and evaluative. You'll dive deep into the data to bring forward new insights that drive product innovation to impact strategy to drive positive change for over a million Amazon employees. To empower a research-led organization, you will also help scale the research function, including the broader UX and product teams by developing guidance and tools for self-service research to help us center our work on the customer.
  • About the team
  • You'll join the Global Logistics Experience (GLX) team— a centralized UX group delivering product design, system design, and content strategy across Amazon's Global Logistics and Transportation Technology Systems. We tackle complex challenges spanning seller shipping tools, internal operations platforms, and transportation networks serving millions worldwide. Our team partners directly with product managers, SDMs, and TPMs to build integrated, scalable solutions that drive cohesion across Seller Experience, Customer Experience, and Operator Experience. We value rigorous validation, design simplicity, and operational efficiency—and we're establishing the global standard for user experience in supply chain management.

Basic qualifications

  • - 5+ years of proven success leading User Research projects with demonstrated impact experience
  • - 5+ years of hands-on work with: field research, ethnography, lab-based user testing, remote testing, paper prototype testing, iterative prototype testing, concept testing, and survey design experience
  • - Have a portfolio demonstrating past work experience and deliverables (e.g., study plans, reports, personas)
  • - Experience with all aspects of research (study design, recruiting, moderation, analysis, reporting)
  • - Experience with behavioral data collection, quantitative data analysis, and statistics
  • - Experience with agile software development and how user research fits in
  • - Experience with the full range of research methods: qualitative and quantitative, attitudinal and behavioral, with deep expertise in one or more areas

Preferred qualifications

  • - Experience with retail or e-commerce research in a global context
  • - MS in Human Factors, HCDE, or Cognitive Psychology
