About us

Appnovation is the AI Product Company. Headquartered in Vancouver, Canada, with teams around the world, Appnovation builds AI products, delivers enterprise AI and digital solutions, and co-invests with clients to bring new AI products to market.

Open source has been the foundation of Appnovation's work since 2007, and it remains the foundation underneath every AI product the company builds today. Appnovation teams work with organizations in highly regulated industries, including global leaders such as Pfizer, Google and AstraZeneca, to help them adopt AI they can govern and own.

Join forces with Appnovation to deliver high-impact results for one of our key strategic partners - a global leader in their field. This engagement offers a unique vantage point into a world-class organization with exceptional opportunities for professional growth and long-term career advancement

Owns the demand, priorities, and capability backlog for web platforms and supporting products. Translates stakeholder and delivery-team needs into requirements, business cases, and prioritized roadmaps. Partners with platform owners and engineering teams to drive platform improvements, adoption, and measurable value. Serves as the Technical Product Owner, the bridge between business needs and development execution.

Key Responsibilities:

Own the demand intake, priorities, and capability backlog for web platforms and content management system (CMS) capabilities.

Translate stakeholder and delivery-team needs into requirements, epics, user stories, and acceptance criteria.

Develop business cases and prioritized roadmaps for new and evolving platform capabilities.

Lead CMS and web platform evaluation and migration decisions, including build-vs-buy and vendor strategy.

Partner with platform owners and the Web Platforms Engineer to drive platform improvements and technical quality.

Drive adoption of platform capabilities, including artificial intelligence (AI)-enabled content authoring and workflow.

Define success measures (adoption, publishing efficiency, site performance, content reuse) and report measurable value to leadership.

What we are looking for

Must-Have:

8+ years in product management, product ownership, or web platform management, including end-to-end ownership of an enterprise CMS or web platform.

Strong command of web platforms and CMS, including traditional, headless, and composable models.

Understanding of page builders, component libraries, templates, and design systems.

Working knowledge of search engine optimization (SEO), generative engine optimization (GEO), accessibility, performance, analytics, and marketing technology integrations.

Familiarity with application programming interfaces (APIs), hosting and content delivery networks (CDN), continuous integration/continuous delivery (CI/CD), security, and privacy considerations.

Experience in Agile or Scaled Agile Framework (SAFe) environments.

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.

Nice-to-Have:

Experience in a regulated environment (for example, medical, legal, and regulatory review of web content).

Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO) or SAFe Product Owner/Product Manager (POPM) certification.

Who you are

Strong product owner mindset, accountable for outcomes and value rather than output alone.

Engages credibly with engineers on architecture and trade-offs without owning the build.

Bridges business and technology, translating needs into requirements and constraints into business terms.

Influences without authority across business, technology, and agency partners.

Self-motivated and adaptable in navigating complex organizational needs and platform decisions.
