About the Opportunity:

Aubergine is seeking a highly skilled SEO Expert (Contractor) to lead and execute our organic growth initiatives. This role is designed for a hands-on professional who can deliver measurable results by enhancing search visibility, boosting content performance, and refining conversion pathways. As a contractor, you’ll have the flexibility to focus on outcomes while collaborating closely with our marketing and product teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Own and execute end-to-end SEO strategy (technical, on-page, off-page)
  • Conduct keyword research aligned with business intent and MQL generation
  • Guide and implement SEO-led content strategies to build topical authority
  • Drive technical SEO improvements: site structure, speed, indexing, schema
  • Build and execute backlink strategies to strengthen domain authority
  • Track, analyze, and report performance metrics (traffic, rankings, conversions), AI / GEN SEO Responsibilities
  • Optimize content for AI-driven search engines (Google SGE, ChatGPT, Perplexity)
  • Structure content for featured snippets, zero-click searches, and conversational queries
  • Suggest entity-rich, context-aware content to improve LLM visibility
  • Implement schema markup and structured data for better machine readability
  • Enhance brand presence in AI-generated answers (citation likelihood)
  • Track performance across AI search surfaces (where possible)
  • Adapt content strategy for zero-click and conversational queries
