Description

The Bistro Server/Barista is responsible for providing excellent guest service by preparing and serving food, beverages, and specialty coffee drinks while ensuring accuracy in cash, credit card, and room charge transactions.

  • Greet guests warmly and ensure a friendly, welcoming environment.
  • Accurately take and deliver food and beverage orders in a timely manner.
  • Prepare and serve a variety of coffee drinks, teas, and specialty beverages according to standardized recipes.
  • Respond to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns with professionalism and efficiency.
  • Maintain knowledge of menu items, including ingredients and preparation methods.
  • Prepare and present food and beverages attractively and consistently.
  • Ensure food safety and sanitation standards are followed at all times.
  • Assist with stocking and restocking food, beverage, and barista supplies.
  • Accurately process cash, credit card, and room charge transactions using the point-of-sale system.
  • Balance cash drawer and reconcile payments at the end of each shift.
  • Follow all company procedures for handling financial transactions and safeguarding assets.
  • Collaborate with teammates to ensure smooth service operations.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of service areas, barista station, and dining space.
  • Bus, clean and reset tables and bar area for next guest.
  • Complete pre- and post-shift responsibilities including stocking, cleaning, mopping floors, cleaning service areas.
  • Follow all sanitation and safety guidelines.
  • Report any maintenance issues or damaged equipment.
  • Maintain professionalism with coworkers and guests.?
  • Other duties may be assigned by management

Requirements

Requirements:

  • Food handler’s permit required
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude
  • Ability and willingness to work a varied and flexible schedule including weekends, days, nights, and holidays.

Physical Requirements:

  • Must tolerate prolonged periods of standing, walking; occasional kneeling, bending, and stooping.
  • Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 pounds as needed, push up to 75 pounds as needed.
  • Must tolerate exposure to cleaning solutions.
