Description

OVERVIEW

Cadrex is searching for a Shipping and Receiving Associate I to manage shipping/receiving responsibilities as defined, to ensure accurate data entry and transactions, and product and material movement in and out of the site.

  • Receive, inspect, sort, label, and package materials and shipments
  • Load and unload trucks safely and efficiently
  • Process shipments through FedEx, UPS, and other carriers
  • Schedule pickups and prepare shipping documentation
  • Use ERP and Microsoft Office systems to track inventory, shipments, and receipts
  • Verify receiving paperwork, certifications, and purchase orders
  • Perform basic quality and inventory checks; report discrepancies
  • Organize inventory and storage locations for accuracy and space optimization
  • Identify and handle different material types appropriately
  • Run shipping and receiving reports as needed
  • Communicate with purchasing with any questions or discrepancies on PO’s

Requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1+ years’ related experience in a high-volume manufacturing setting preferred
  • Read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Write simple correspondence
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to read and interpret prints and work orders
  • Attention to detail and quality
  • Previous Forklift Experience
  • Computer Skills including Microsoft Office

WORK ENVIRONMENT

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to work near moving mechanical parts and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to the risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate and occasionally loud.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, sit, use hands and fingers, handle or feel, and talk or hear. The employee is occasionally required to sit; climb or balance; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, color vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus.
