- Our WW Operations network delivers millions of packages and smiles to Amazon customers every day. We are looking for a motivated, customer-focused leader to join our team as a Site Leader at XVC4, Amazon's first Recommerce and Return Center in Brazil. In this role, you will lead and develop a team of managers and associates, driving operational excellence in our Reverse Logistics (ReLo) network. You will be responsible for engaging your team to maintain the highest levels of safety, quality, and performance — with a relentless focus on maximizing the sellability of every item that passes through the site.
- The Recommerce & Returns Site Leader works in Amazon's Reverse Logistics network, responsible for processing customer returns, determining the appropriate disposition (e.g., reselling, refurbishing, liquidating, or donating items), and continuously improving recovery rates. This is a unique opportunity to shape the operations of a greenfield site and build processes from the ground up.
- Key Priorities
- 1. Safety – Ensure a safe working environment for all associates, maintaining zero-tolerance for safety risks and driving a culture of proactive hazard identification.
- 2. Quality – Maintain the highest standards in grading, processing, and dispositioning of returned items, ensuring accuracy and consistency across all operations.
- 3. Inventory Recovery – Maximize sellability and recovery rates of returned inventory through process optimization, root cause analysis, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Key job responsibilities
- Lead, mentor, and develop a team of managers, fostering a culture of ownership, accountability, and operational excellence
- Drive root cause investigation for quality defects, process failures, and sellability losses, implementing sustainable corrective actions
- Create, implement, and continuously improve processes to maximize item recovery and sellability rates
- Build and execute productivity plans through forecast reviews, determining capacity requirements, and partnering with cross-functional teams
- Manage safety, quality, productivity, and inventory recovery KPIs with a data-driven approach
- Collaborate with all support teams including Safety, Engineering, Loss Prevention, Quality Assurance, and Human Resources to develop plans to meet business objectives
- Lead large-scope projects with site and regional impact, including process design for new workflows in the recommerce space
- Own the end-to-end operational performance of the site, from inbound receiving through final disposition
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all site processes
- Analyze data to identify trends, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement in recovery and sellability
Basic qualifications
- - Bachelor's degree or equivalent
- - Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
- - Experience in managing teams
- - Experience in a logistics/operations environment
- - Experience in Business English skills, both verbal and written
Preferred qualifications
- Experience with performance metrics and process improvement and Lean techniques
