As a Software Development Engineer on antenna systems validation team, you'll build the software backbone that powers our satellite ground infrastructure. You'll work at the intersection of distributed systems, automation, and hardware, creating tools that our engineers rely on every day.
- Your Impact:
- - Build scalable test automation frameworks that validate complex antenna systems at scale
- - Design and develop data pipelines for processing and analyzing massive datasets from RF systems
- - Create developer tools and APIs that accelerate hardware bring-up and system characterization
- - Develop simulation and modeling applications for 2D/3D antenna array design
- - Automate everything: from firmware deployment to system configuration and validation
- - Build web applications and dashboards for system monitoring and data visualization
- - Collaborate across disciplines with systems architects, hardware engineers, and firmware teams
- Technologies & Skills:
- - Python, Rust, C++, Java, Go, or similar
- - Cloud services and distributed systems (AWS preferred)
- - Test automation frameworks and CI/CD pipelines
- - Data processing and storage solutions
- - API design and microservices architecture
- - Scripting and DevOps practices
- Export Control Requirement:
- Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
Basic qualifications
- - 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- - 1+ years of software development engineer or related occupational experience
- - 1+ years of designing and developing large-scale, multi-tiered, multi-threaded, embedded or distributed software applications, tools, systems, and services using: C#, C++, Java, or Perl experience
- - 1+ years of Object Oriented Design experience
- - Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
- - Experience programming with at least one software programming language
Preferred qualifications
- - 3+ years of full software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations experience
- - Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location. Amazon also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance (medical, dental, vision, prescription, Basic Life & AD&D insurance and option for Supplemental life plans, EAP, Mental Health Support, Medical Advice Line, Flexible Spending Accounts, Adoption and Surrogacy Reimbursement coverage), 401(k) matching, paid time off, and parental leave.
