The Opportunity

This isn't a typical co-op role. We're looking for a curious builder who wants to put AI to real use on a real product. You'll work directly with the BuilderGO Product Manager to help bring AI features to our mobile app and to help our teams get more comfortable using AI in their daily work. You'll build, test, explain, and share what you learn, and you'll see your work reach real users.

Term: January to April 2027 (4 months). Hybrid, with 1–2 days a week at our Markham office.

What You'll Do

Build with AI

Help connect our mobile app to our in-house AI agent platform, supporting chatbot features planned for release

Build small prototypes and automations that save our teams time

Test AI tools and prompts, and report on what works, what doesn't, and why

Help our teams use AI

Run short demos, write simple guides, and meet one-on-one with teammates to show how AI can improve their work

Share tools, tips, and lessons learned with the wider product group

Work with the team

Join stand-ups, sprint reviews, and planning sessions

Document what you build so others can use and improve it

Share progress and ideas regularly with the team and stakeholders

What You Bring

Required

Currently enrolled in a Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related co-op program

Some experience with Python, JavaScript/TypeScript, or Node.js (school, personal, or work projects all count)

Interest in AI, including large language models and writing good prompts

Clear, friendly communication, and comfort explaining technical ideas to non-technical people

Initiative to figure things out on your own, and good judgment on when to ask for help

Nice to Have

Experience with APIs, MCP, or tools like Jira or Azure DevOps

Previous internship or co-op experience

Familiarity with Angular or mobile app development

How to Apply

Please include a project you've built or tried with AI. A link, short demo video, screenshots, or a brief write-up is perfect. Class and personal projects are welcome. Tell us:

What problem you were solving

Which AI tools you used

What you learned

Applications that include a project will be prioritized.

Is This You?
