  • Summarized Purpose:
  • Prepares accurate, transparent and timely financial reports and assists with financial analysis to support management in the decision-making process.
  • Essential Functions:
  • o Collects, analyses and interprets financial and operating data for assigned
  • o business units.
  • o Provides decision support to business management through the presentation of tools, models, data analysis, and dashboards. May assist in development and/or
  • o creation of these tools.
  • o Prepares reports and analyses in support of monthly, quarterly and annual financial close processes and ongoing financial activities.
  • o Serves as a finance business partner and prepares forecasts and budgets for assigned business units.
  • o Performs variance analysis and investigates irregularities; makes recommendations to correct inaccuracies
  • Job Complexity:
  • o Works on problems of limited scope. Follows standard practices and procedures in analyzing situations or data from which answers can be readily obtained.
  • Job Knowledge:
  • o Learns to use professional concepts. Applies company policies and procedures to resolve routine issues.
  • - Supervision Received:
  • o Normally receives detailed instructions on all work.
  • Business Relationships:
  • o Contacts are primarily with immediate supervisor, and other personnel in the department. Builds stable working relationships internally.

Qualifications:

  • Education and Experience:
  • o Bachelor's degree or equivalent and relevant formal academic / vocational qualification.
  • o Previous experience provides the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform the job (comparable to 2-3 years).
  • o In some cases, an equivalency, consisting of a combination of appropriate education, training and/or directly related experience, will be considered sufficient for an individual to meet the requirements of the role.
  • Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • o Solid understanding of accounting/financial principles, and regulations/legal requirements.
  • o Ability to function as an effective partner to internal clients.
  • o Solid analytical thinking and quantitative skills and ability to handle data effectively.
  • o Confidence to handle sensitive information and make sound recommendations.
  • o Ability to coordinate multiple tasks while still delivering high quality results.
  • o Effective written and oral communication skills.
  • o Strong organizational skills.
  • o High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint for analysis and presentation of data.
