Job Summary
Role Purpose
Candescent is hiring a Marketing Operations Specialist to execute and govern the company’s digital campaign engine from one of our India office locations. This role sits at the intersection of campaign operations and marketing technology governance. You will build, QA, and deploy campaigns across email, nurture, webinars, events, and ABM programmes, while making sure the systems, data, and processes behind those campaigns stay accurate, documented, and trustworthy.
This is a hands-on role for a Marketo power user and detail-oriented operator. You will manage multiple concurrent priorities, troubleshoot technical and data issues before they reach stakeholders, and steadily improve the standards and documentation that make campaign delivery repeatable.
You will partner closely with the web team, who own website and landing page development, and with marketing analytics, who own dashboards and centralised reporting. Your focus is campaign execution and the integrity of the marketing automation and CRM systems that support it.
What Success Looks Like in the First Year
- Campaigns launch on schedule, pass QA consistently, and have minimal post-deployment issues.
- Marketo and Salesforce data are clean, with documented segmentation, scoring, routing, suppression, sync behaviour, and campaign logic.
- Recurring campaign, webinar, and event processes are documented and repeatable, reducing dependency on any single person.
- Stakeholders receive timely, trusted campaign performance reporting with clear insight into funnel movement, lead quality, and channel effectiveness.
- Campaign build-to-launch cycle time improves through better intake, QA standards, reusable templates, and operational discipline.
Key Responsibilities and Deliverables
What you will be responsible for and what you will do
Campaign Execution & Demand Generation
- Plan, build, QA, and deploy multichannel campaigns across email, nurture, webinars, events, ABM motions, and paid media support.
- Own list segmentation, suppression logic, audience setup, personalisation rules, and campaign readiness checks for every deployment.
- Partner with product marketing, brand, growth, events, content, and creative stakeholders to keep execution aligned to business goals and launch timelines.
- Support webinar and event operations in Goldcast and Cvent, including registration flows, reminders, attendee tracking, automation, follow-up, and reporting.
- Apply campaign best practices including A/B testing, audience targeting, and conversion-focused journey improvements.
Marketing Technology & Governance
- Operate and optimise marketing automation and connected systems, including Marketo, Salesforce, Goldcast, Cvent, and adjacent platforms.
- Build and maintain operational programmes such as lifecycle processing, lead scoring, routing, attribution support, data normalisation, and CRM synchronisation logic.
- Troubleshoot data, sync, segmentation, form behaviour, email rendering, and tracking issues before they impact stakeholders.
- Maintain standards for naming conventions, folder structure, data hygiene, consent and compliance support, documentation, and system governance.
- Evaluate emerging marketing technology and AI-enabled capabilities, and recommend practical improvements that increase speed, quality, or analytical value.
Campaign Measurement & Tracking Integrity
- Track campaign performance against agreed KPIs and report on channel performance, funnel movement, lead quality, and pipeline influence.
- Implement and validate UTMs, tags, events, and conversion tracking in partnership with the web and analytics teams.
- Validate tracking accuracy across UTMs, forms, campaign member status, and conversions, and resolve gaps or inconsistencies at the source.
- Translate campaign data into actionable recommendations on audience targeting, campaign sequencing, and follow-up strategy.
Collaboration, Process & Documentation
- Serve as a trusted Marketing Operations partner for campaign stakeholders, sales, product marketing, content, creative, and external vendors.
- Use HTML and CSS to edit and troubleshoot emails, templates, and forms, and partner with the web development team when campaign pages or more complex implementation are required.
- Coordinate timelines, manage handoffs, provide clear status updates, and keep parallel initiatives moving across time zones.
- Create and maintain documentation for campaign operations, QA standards, reporting workflows, data governance, and recurring execution processes.
- Identify execution bottlenecks, recommend process improvements, and help build reusable templates, checklists, and operating standards.
- Maintain a working schedule with sufficient overlap with US business hours on at least a few days each week to enable live collaboration, campaign handoffs, and launch support.
Experience
Demonstrated skills, competencies, and required experience
- 4–6 years of experience in B2B marketing operations, campaign operations, or demand generation, ideally in SaaS, fintech, banking technology, or another high-growth environment.
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience with Adobe Marketo Engage, including campaign build, segmentation, forms, landing pages, nurture programmes, reporting, and QA.
- Working knowledge of Salesforce CRM, including lead, contact, account, opportunity, campaign member, routing, and reporting concepts.
- Demonstrated experience executing email marketing, event promotion, webinar operations, and multichannel digital campaigns.
- Working proficiency with GA4, UTM strategy, event tracking, and campaign performance analysis.
- Working knowledge of HTML and CSS for editing emails, forms, and templates.
- Strong project management, multitasking, documentation, and stakeholder communication skills, with reliable attention to detail.
Qualifications & Preferred Distinctions
Additional accomplishments
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Computer Science, Digital Media, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
- Marketo certification, such as Marketo Certified Expert or an equivalent credential, is preferred.
- Experience with 6sense, Goldcast, Cvent, Jira, SharePoint, Smartsheet, SurveyMonkey, or Highspot is preferred.
- Working understanding of SEO, SEM, paid social, ABM, intent data, and digital media operations is preferred.
- Experience supporting lead lifecycle, scoring, routing, attribution, database management, and marketing-to-sales handoff processes.
- Comfort applying AI tools to improve marketing execution, documentation, reporting, and workflow efficiency.
- Experience supporting financial services, technology, B2B, SaaS, or enterprise software brands is preferred.
- Experience collaborating across geographies and time zones is helpful.
