Job Description:

We are open to the level of the role from Product Manager to Senior Manager Product Marketing, for the right candidate.
Our Product Marketing team is responsible for working directly with end users and engineering teams to grow products and product lines through the administration and coordination of a variety of marketing functions and projects; all while maintaining a cooperative relationship with internal and external stakeholders. Our team works directly with end users through interviews, job site visits and field testing, allowing us to understand the work they do day-in and day-out so we can make solutions that help them stay safe and productive. We research, develop, and commercialize disruptive new products to meet company growth goals by participating and interacting with various cross functional teams and departments, owning a product from cradle to grave.
Your Role on Our Team
The Product Manager / Senior Product Manager will be responsible for developing and executing the strategy for Milwaukee Tool's Abrasives product category, driving sustainable growth, profitability, and category leadership. This role serves as the business owner for the category, partnering closely with internal operations, engineering, sourcing, sales, and marketing teams to optimize product performance, improve cost competitiveness, and deliver industry-leading solutions for professional users. The successful candidate will lead category strategy, portfolio management, new product development, and commercialization efforts while identifying opportunities to accelerate growth, expand margins, and strengthen Milwaukee Tool's competitive position in the marketplace.
You’ll be DISRUPTIVE through these Duties and Responsibilities
- Lead strategic planning and product development for abrasives product categories, delegating tasks and challenging direct report to defend recommendations.
- Prioritize new product development aligned with company objectives, coordinating schedules and securing resources.
- Maintain expertise in product knowledge, market trends, and end-user applications through industry events and interactions.
- Serve as the focal point for product issue resolution, lead departmental improvement initiatives, and provide category updates to senior management.
- Drive the initial stages of new product development, including research, analysis, and financial considerations, ensuring customer input throughout the process.
- Manage product portfolios, implementing strategies for positioning, forecasting, and updates.
- Develop launch programs, sales materials, and training initiatives, collaborating with brand and channel management.
- Participate in customer presentations, trade shows, and industry events to promote product categories.
- Streamline processes and mentor junior staff in project management and cross-functional teamwork.
- Initiate and oversee market research plans, analyze findings, and report to senior management.
- Interact with cross-functional teams to meet objectives and facilitate timely project completion.
The TOOLS you’ll bring with you:
- Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business Administration or related area
- Experience of 5-10 years in Marketing/Sales roles
- Experience managing complex trade-offs through new product development
- Experience managing projects through a stage-gate process
- Ability to define and drive platform level design requirements based on end user needs
- Accomplished analytic, written, verbal and interpersonal skills plus demonstrated problem solving and decision-making abilities required
- Availability to participate in occasional early morning or evening meetings with global business partners is required to support international collaboration
- Willingness to travel 25-30% of the time
- Proficiency in PC skills including MS Office and Internet usage is required
