Medtronic Pain Interventions Health Economics, Policy, and Reimbursement (HEPR) is seeking a Senior Reimbursement Analyst to help advance patient access to our Pain Interventions therapies. This role will support a diverse portfolio that includes new products entering the market, those at varying stages of market access maturity, and legacy products but with continual change in terms of payer requirements.

The successful candidate will partner with internal core product development teams, patient access support services, field health economic teams, sales, and others to identify and address reimbursement related market access barriers, translate complex technical information into clear and actionable insights, and tailor communications to the needs of each audience.

In this role, you will report to the Global Program Senior Director for the Pain Interventions business. You will work independently and collaboratively with HEPR and cross-functional team members to help ensure patient access to Medtronic therapies across the product lifecycle.

Responsibilities:

  • Support both new-product market entry and legacy-product optimization by assessing reimbursement needs, risks, opportunities, and priorities based on each product’s market-access maturity.
  • Provide reimbursement-related advice to product development, marketing, sales, regulatory, clinical, and business teams, including input on product strategy, indication expansion, evidence needs, and launch readiness.
  • Evaluate the reimbursement environment in the United States and relevant global geographies to support new product development, product launches, indication expansions, and ongoing portfolio management.
  • Work closely with HEPR colleagues to identify and address coding, coverage, and payment issues, and provide timely support to internal teams and external stakeholders.
  • Conduct periodic analyses of Medicare regulations, commercial payer policies, coding developments, and other reimbursement changes; communicate implications and recommended actions clearly to the appropriate audiences.
  • Assist with developing strategies and draft comments for advocacy with CMS and commercial payers, as appropriate, and identify opportunities to enhance payment and access for Pain Interventions therapies.
  • Create and deliver training and education for sales representatives, physicians, case managers, medical directors, billing personnel, and other stakeholders, adapting the level of detail and format to the audience at hand.
  • Translate complex clinical, technical, coding, coverage, and payment information into clear, accurate, and actionable content for non-experts and cross-functional partners.
  • Design and implement internal and external reimbursement communications, tools, resources, and content guided by the Medtronic brand and overall business strategy.
  • Use approved AI-enabled tools and automation capabilities to improve research, synthesis, drafting, workflow efficiency, and consistency, while applying sound judgment, protecting confidential information, validating outputs, and complying with applicable policies and regulations.
  • Maintain a high level of attention to detail when reviewing reimbursement information, data, policies, communications, and deliverables.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in health policy, health services, health economics, epidemiology, public administration, or a related field; advanced degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in medical device or pharmaceutical reimbursement, health economics, healthcare coding, market access, or a related field.
  • Strong understanding of US reimbursement processes, coding, coverage, payment, and payer/provider dynamics.
  • Experience supporting products or therapies at different stages of commercialization, including new-product launch, market development, and legacy-product optimization, preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze complex information and translate technical or specialized content into clear, concise, and actionable information for non-experts.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy, consistency, and quality.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage simultaneous projects, while exercising independent decision-making and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Familiarity with approved AI tools, automation, and digital productivity technologies, with the judgment to validate outputs and use these tools responsibly and compliantly.
  • Comfortable working virtually via use of collaboration tools
