Sr. Set-up Technician - Metals (1st Shift)

Job Description:

The Set-Up Technician supports the production needs of the operation by setting up, adjusting, and troubleshooting machines in the Machine Shop.

1st Shift Hours: Monday to Friday 7:00am-3:00pm

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• •Set-up, operate, and maintain equipment as needed to support operations
• •D ocumentation of production, maintenance, and QC audits performed
• •C omplete 1st piece inspection prior to release for production
• •Make professional and lasting modifications and repairs to existing equipment
• •Responsible for cosmetic criteria as specified and communicating criteria to employees
• •Relay pertinent product and quality related information to Operators, Inspectors, Supervisors, and peers , in both written and verbal forms
• •Organizing and maintaining the order and cleanliness of equipment, storage areas and the Machine Shop as a whole
• •Other duties and projects as determined by production and business need s ​

Education , Skills, and Experience :

• •High School Diploma or equivalent required
• •Minimum of five (5) years of previous experience preferred
• •Must demonstrate understanding and working knowledge of equipment used to support production
• •Established ability to identify and communicate issues and offer proposed solutions
• •Great attention to detail is required
• •Ability to manage interruptions in a professional and respectful manner is essential
• •Above basic math skills and reasoning ability
• •Moderate computer and Microsoft Office skills
• •Forklift certification
