Job Description Summary:

  • $15,000 SIGN-ON BONUS
  • External applicants may be eligible for a $15,000 sign-on bonus with a one-year work commitment. Previously employed applicants who have been gone from the organization more than 90 days may also be eligible.

The Senior Sonographer is responsible for proficiently performing all diagnostic tests such as echocardiograms, vascular studies, all research protocols, advanced quantification studies and follow-up paperwork for each procedure as determined by regular quality evaluation from team lead and medical director. Has regular involvement and leadership role in the implementation and execution of the lab’s QI program as required for accreditation.

This is a Monday-Friday, day shift position. Candidate must be registered in cardiac or vascular sonography.

Acts as resource for others internal and external to the department. Displays caring, courteous behavior in dealing with patients and their families, coworkers, physicians, and guests of the facility.

Responsibilities And Duties:

  • 50%
  • Performs ultrasound imaging.
  • 20%
  • Prepares required reports.
  • 10%
  • Reviews results of echocardiogram with physicians and performs quality assurance activities.
  • 10%
  • Coordinates QI and regular audits with Team Leads.
  • 5%
  • Training and precepting other sonographers as needed.
  • 5%
  • Maintains files.

As a High Reliability Organization (HRO), responsibilities require focus on safety, quality and efficiency in performing job duties.

Minimum Qualifications:

High School or GED (Required)BLS - Basic Life Support - American Heart Association, RVT - Registered Vascular Technologist - American Registry for Diagnostic Medical Sonography

Additional Job Description:

SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE

Minimum in a two year allied, patient related healthcare program (i. e. , sonography, radiology, respiratory therapy, occupational therapy, or RN) AND either registered (RDCS or RCS) or registry eligible (RDCS or RCS) with registry obtained within 12 months of hire. BLS

Demonstrated knowledge of CareConnect (charges and modifiers), as well as Fuji/Synapse
