A Day in the Life

The Supply Management Solutions (SMS) organization within Global Supply Management enables procurement performance through systems, process optimization, analytics, and digital solutions. The Systems and Process team focuses on simplifying, standardizing, and digitizing procurement processes while advancing automation and operational excellence across the enterprise.

This onsite role is based in Minneapolis, Minnesota and partners with procurement, operations, technology, and business stakeholders globally to identify and deliver process improvements.

As a Sr. Strategic Sourcing Process Analyst, you will leverage process mining, analytics, and project leadership capabilities to identify improvement opportunities across procurement processes and deliver solutions that improve efficiency, compliance, and business performance. This role combines process analysis, stakeholder engagement, automation enablement, and project execution to support digital transformation initiatives across Global Supply Management.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Analyze end-to-end procurement processes using Celonis and other process mining tools to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
  • Translate process, system, and workflow analysis into actionable recommendations that support business decision-making.
  • Lead process improvement and Hyperautomation initiatives from planning through implementation and value realization.
  • Partner with procurement, operations, and technology teams to design and deploy solutions that improve process performance and user experience.
  • Develop project plans, milestones, timelines, and success metrics to ensure effective execution and delivery.
  • Manage project risks, dependencies, and issues while maintaining stakeholder alignment and delivery commitments.
  • Facilitate cross-functional workshops to gather requirements, validate solutions, and drive decision-making.
  • Support team priorities through process documentation, testing, reporting, analysis, and other project deliverables.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree and 4+ years of experience in Business Analytics, Supply Chain, Supply Management, Information Systems, or related business functions OR advanced degree with 2 years of experience
  • Experience with process mining platforms, preferably Celonis.
  • Experience with Power BI, Power Apps, Power Automate, SAP S/4HANA, SAP Ariba, or similar business systems.
  • Experience with Lean Six Sigma, Kaizen, Agile, or other process improvement methodologies.
  • Experience supporting Hyperautomation, workflow automation, or digital transformation initiatives.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience analyzing business processes and using data to identify improvement opportunities.
  • Experience leading or coordinating projects involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in written and verbal English communication.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams.
  • Experience with process mining platforms, preferably Celonis.
  • Knowledge of project management methodologies; project management certification preferred.

For Baccalaureate degrees earned outside of the United States, a degree that satisfies the requirements of 8 C.F.R. § 214.2(h)(4)(iii)(A) is required.

Salary ranges for U.S (excl. PR) locations (USD):$84,000.00 - $126,000.00

This position is eligible for a short-term incentive called the Medtronic Incentive Plan (MIP).

The base salary range is applicable across the United States, excluding Puerto Rico and specific locations in California. The offered rate complies with federal and local regulations and may vary based on factors such as experience, certification/education, market conditions, and location. Compensation and benefits information pertains solely to candidates hired within the United States (local market compensation and benefits will apply for others).

The following benefits and additional compensation are available to those regular employees who work 20+ hours per week: Health, Dental and vision insurance , Health Savings Account , Healthcare Flexible Spending Account , Life insurance, Long-term disability leave , Dependent daycare spending account , Tuition assistance/reimbursement , and Simple Steps (global well-being program).
