Structural Welder - RH

Environmental Air Systems, a full-service mechanical contractor, is looking for experienced MIG Welders to join our fabrication shop in Rural Hall, North Carolina. In this role you will work both independently and on a team with minimal supervision.

Schedule:

1st Shift , 6:00am-4:30pm with OT as necessary

Location: Rural Hall, NC

Responsibilities:

• •Weld structural steel members using (MIG) wirefeed processes
• •Weld in 3G and 4G positions according to safety-oriented procedures
• •Read welding symbols and understand testing requirements
• •Follow proper safety instructions
• •Work in a team environment
• •Perform other duties as needed by supervision

Education Requirements:

• •Minimum of a High School Diploma/GED or related experience as a certified structural steel welder as determined by the plant manager
• •Reading and speaking proficiency in either English or Spanish required

Job Requirements/Special Skills:

Specific Structural Welding Skills:

• •Ability to pass a 3G and 4G weld test using GMAW process on 3/8“ material
• •Good verbal communication skills with other employees
• •Positive attitude
• •Open minded with a vision for continuous improvement
• •Ability to understand weld symbols and testing requirements
• •Ability to read blueprints

Specific Physical Skills:

• •Ability to lift and carry up to 50 lbs
• •Ability to step over and work on top of fixtures that are 28 inches off the floor when necessary
• •Ability to work in conditions of varying heat and cold and where noise levels are at or above 90 decibels
