Job Summary

We are looking for an enthusiastic and service-oriented Student Desk Intern to join our Student Desk and Student Life team at Istituto Marangoni Firenze.

This internship offers a valuable opportunity to gain hands-on experience in student support, front-office operations, and administrative processes within an international higher education environment.

Working closely with the Student Care Supervisor and the Student Desk Team, the intern will contribute to creating a welcoming and efficient experience for students, faculty, visitors, and external partners, while supporting the daily operations of the School.

Key Responsibilities

Reporting to the Student Care Supervisor, the intern will support a variety of front-office and student service activities, including:

Reception & School Welcome

  • Welcome students, visitors, and external guests, ensuring a professional and positive first impression.
  • Support the management of entry and access procedures for visitors, suppliers, and external staff in coordination with the Facilities team.
  • Maintain the reception and student desk areas in an organized and professional manner.

Communication & Student Support

  • Manage and route incoming phone calls, emails, mail, and institutional communications.
  • Act as a first point of contact for students, providing accurate information and assistance through multiple communication channels (in person, phone, and email).
  • Support the proper handling and escalation of student requests to the relevant departments.
  • Contribute to ensuring a high-quality student experience through timely and effective support.

Administrative Support

  • Assist with data entry and updates across the School's information systems and digital platforms.
  • Support the preparation and distribution of certificates, documents, communications, and student information materials.
  • Help maintain accurate records and ensure smooth administrative processes.

Events & Operational Support

  • Assist departments and faculty members in organizing appointments, meetings, and events involving internal and external guests.
  • Support the booking of facilities and related services, including transportation and catering when required.
  • Provide operational assistance during academic activities, lessons, and student events.

Requirements

  • Bachelor Degree in Politics – Economics – Humanistics - Languages
  • Excellent command of English (written and spoken).
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Customer-service mindset and attention to detail.
  • Empathy and ability to work effectively in a multicultural and international environment.
  • Proactive attitude, flexibility, and willingness to learn.
  • Team-player approach with strong organizational skills.

Monthly allowance: € 900,00
