Lycée Français is looking for qualified French-speaking and English-speaking substitute teachers for all grades. Experience working with children in groups or one-on-one, depending on the needs of children and the subject matter. Flexible schedule, willingness to adapt to multiple scenarios, and self-motivated work ethic.

Role and Responsibilities

The duties of the substitute teacher may include, but are not limited to the following tasks:

Lead Teacher Substitution

• •Implementing the lesson plan provided by the school or classroom teacher
• •Providing instruction to students on a variety of classroom subjects and topics
• •Maintaining a safe and positive classroom environment that is conducive to learning

Teaching Assistant Substitutes

• •Assisting the classroom teacher in maintaining a safe and productive learning environment
• •Working with students individually or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts that were presented in the lesson plan

Lunch Duty Assistance

Assisting with lunch/recess duty maintaining a safe environment

Requirements

Required Qualifications

• •High School Diploma
• •Experience in nstruction in an elementary, middle, or secondary school setting
• •Flexibility and a team-spirit work ethic
• •Well developed interpersonal skills
• •Must be in New Orleans

Preferred Qualifications

• •Louisiana Certification.
• •Bachelor's degree
• •Three or more years teaching experience
• •Fluency in French and knowledge and experience in the French curriculum
• •Experience in differentiating instruction, and supporting students with learning challenges
