Summary

About the Position: This position is located at the Naval Health Center in Annapolis. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation. Recruitment Incentives may be available to new employees to the Federal Government.

Duties

  • Prepare and analyze delinquent medical record reports and briefs trends and risks to leadership to support decision making.
  • Plan and direct health record management operations of medical records for active-duty service members, retirees, family members, Secretarial Designees, and other eligible patient populations.
  • Develop and implement policies, procedures, and schedules to achieve objectives, interprets regulations and directives recommending changes in policies.
  • Plan and direct health record management operations of medical records for active-duty service members, retirees, family members, Secretarial Designees, and other eligible patient populations.
  • Develop and monitor work plans, daily workload, assignments, and priorities.
  • Direct and Conduct on the job training and informal training.

Basic Requirement for Supervisory Medical Records Technician: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes screening medical records for accuracy utilizing Microsoft Office Suite, assigning or reviewing work of others, and providing guidance or training on the handling of medical records. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-07). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone--no substitution of education for experience is permitted.
