The Supply Specialist is responsible for the research, purchasing, tracking, coordination and maintenance of all approved materials in support of the U.S. Navy’s Landing Craft, Air Cushion (LCAC) Amphibious Combat Vehicle (ACV) program on-base.
Essential Duties & Responsibilities:
· Research parts, obtains quotes and purchases approved materials
· Provide tracking of materials by job
· Coordinate vendors and maintain material status visibility
· Procurement of packages and provides status updates of approved ODC/material purchases
· Perform routine work with limited to no supervision or instruction
· Ability to take on new assignments with general instructions
· Apply industry knowledge to various programs and projects ensuring successful completion
· Use knowledge of industry standard policies, procedures and practical applications to complete job tasks
· Other duties as related to the business functions of FWG Solutions, as assigned
Education:
· High School Degree Required
· Associate's Degree Required (ideally studies in logistics, supply chain, business, purchasing or other related field)
Licenses & Certifications:
· Active Secret Security Clearance or ability to obtain an interim clearance required
· NERP preferred
Experience:
· Five to seven (5-7) years of experience in similar position
· Navy and supply logistics experience and knowledge
· HFAR/DFARS awareness and purchasing experience
Skills & Abilities:
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills
· Ability to hold yourself and others accountable on short-term and long-term goals
· Ability to install, assemble, and configure new mechanical or refrigeration systems
· Ability to troubleshoot using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify and fix issues
· Ability to work independently and coordinate with general maintenance staff
· Ability to work with various levels of personnel
· Use of Microsoft Office software applications to include Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
Other:
· Ability to work onsite 5 days per week with additional hours, as required
