JOB PURPOSE
Promote computer literacy among our students and any other individual who is keen to learn computers. You will be required to craft and present lessons, develop teaching material, and attend parent-teacher meetings. Computer teachers should also ensure that equipment remains in excellent working condition. To ensure success as a computer teacher, you should demonstrate flexibility and support as you help students to develop confidence in their computer skills.
WHO SHOULD APPLY?
This role is for someone who believes that every child — regardless of background — deserves to be comfortable with a computer. If you find satisfaction in a student successfully saving their first file or confidently opening a browser for the first time, this role is for you.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
(Teaching & Curriculum)
- Design and deliver structured, age-appropriate lessons from basics to intermediate level.
- Ensure every student achieves baseline literacy: switching on a computer, typing, file management, internet navigation, and basic software use.
- Adapt the same session for students with zero exposure and those with some prior knowledge.
- Develop hands-on exercises and small projects that make learning practical and engaging.
- Progress learning from hardware familiarity → MS Office → internet skills → basic digital concepts.
- Ensure enrollment of the required number of students as agreed upon with the institution.
(Student Support)
- Create a patient, low-pressure environment where students aren't afraid to ask "basic" questions.
- Identify students who are complete beginners and give them additional attention.
- Track each student's progress and communicate with parents and staff regularly.
(Lab Management)
- Keep the lab clean, organised, and fully operational before every session.
- Enforce no-food/no-drink rules strictly.
- Perform routine checks and basic troubleshooting; coordinate with vendors for repairs.
- Maintain equipment inventory and report issues promptly.
(Assessment & Communication)
- Conduct practical assessments, quizzes, and term projects.
- Maintain grading records and give constructive feedback.
- Attend parent-teacher meetings and share student updates clearly.

- In depth knowledge of MS OFFICE
- Organised, responsible, and takes ownership of both students and the lab.
