Position Summary:

The Teacher’s Assistant (ASP) assists teaching staff in carrying out Afterschool Program activities, helps to maintain a positive and supportive environment, and is responsible for supervising the children and youth in classrooms, halls, school yards, etc., and enforcing all FYCC policies and procedures. The Teacher’s Assistant will ‘float’ from room to room to provide teaching assistance as needed. The Teacher’s Assistant is responsible for complying with, and ensuring compliance with DCYF (Department of Children, Youth and Families), CA Community Care Licensing, Department of Social Services requirements. This person must be able to work a flexible schedule (some evenings); regular and predictable attendance is essential.

Work Schedule: This role follows an after-school schedule of Monday–Friday, 1:30 p.m. – 5:30 p.m. During summer break and school holidays, employees work an extended schedule of Monday–Friday, 11:30 a.m. – 5:30 p.m.
